大连科技学院位于辽宁省大连市旅顺经济开发区大学城内，前身是2002年组建的大连交通大学信息工程学院，2011年经教育部批准转设为省属普通本科高校，2016年获批为辽宁省向应用型转型发展试点高校，2019年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估。学校以工学为主，管理学、文学、法学、艺术学多学科协调发展，下设7个二级学院及5个教学单位，开设34个本科专业和4个专科专业，形成了“构建135党建格局，实施PEIM教育，深化协同育人”的办学特色。

Dalian University of Science and Technology is located in the University Town of Lvshun Economic Development Zone, Dalian, Liaoning Province. Its predecessor was the School of Information Engineering of Dalian Jiaotong University (formerly Dalian Railway Institute) established in 2002. In 2011, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be transformed into a provincial ordinary undergraduate university. In 2016, it was approved as a pilot university for transforming to application-oriented development in Liaoning Province, and passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2019. With engineering as its main discipline, the university also develops coordinately in management, literature, law and art. It has 7 secondary colleges and 5 teaching units, offering 34 undergraduate majors and 4 junior college majors, forming the school-running characteristics of "constructing the 135 Party building pattern, implementing PEIM education, and deepening collaborative education".

学校现有专任教师中副高级及以上职称者占比35.5%，具有硕士、博士学位教师占比86.83%，双师双能型专业课教师170人。拥有辽宁省重点实验室、技术转移示范机构等省级科研平台，与百余家企事业单位共建校外实习基地，获评工信部首批“校企协同就业创业创新示范实践基地”“辽宁省优秀民办高校”。校园占地86.91万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值超1.1亿元，馆藏图书104.24万册，建有万兆骨干校园网和100余个实验实训场所。

Among the full-time teachers, 35.5% have associate senior titles or above, 86.83% have master's or doctoral degrees, and there are 170 "double-qualified" professional course teachers. The university has provincial-level scientific research platforms such as Liaoning Key Laboratory and Technology Transfer Demonstration Institution, and has established off-campus internship bases with more than 100 enterprises and institutions. It has been awarded the first batch of "Demonstration Practice Base for School-Enterprise Collaborative Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and "Excellent Private University in Liaoning Province". The campus covers an area of 869,100 square meters, with teaching and research instruments and equipment worth over 110 million yuan, 1.0424 million books in the library, and a 10-gigabit backbone campus network and more than 100 experimental and training sites.
