Dokuz Eylül University, founded in 1982 and located in Izmir, Turkey, is a public research university named after the date when Izmir was liberated from Greek occupation on September 9, 1922. Comprising 15 faculties, 5 schools, 6 vocational schools, 5 graduate schools, and 5 research institutes, the university covers a wide range of disciplines including engineering, medicine, natural sciences, social sciences, arts and design, and has gained extensive recognition in education, research, and practice within Turkey.
