滇西科技师范学院是一所扎根边疆民族地区、服务和融入国家战略与地方经济社会发展的应用型国门大学，地处云南省临沧市。其办学历史可追溯至1907年创办的顺宁府立初级师范学堂，1978年开办临沧师专班，首开滇西南高等教育先河，历经临沧教育学院、临沧师范高等专科学校等发展阶段，2015年经教育部批准升格为本科院校。学校总用地面积73.27万平方米，校舍总建筑面积35.04万平方米，设有14个二级学院、37个本科专业，全日制在校生11391人，生源覆盖全国23个省（自治区、直辖市）。

Dianxi Normal University of Science and Technology is an application-oriented gateway university rooted in border ethnic areas, serving and integrating into national strategies and local economic and social development. Located in Lincang City, Yunnan Province, its educational history dates back to the Shunning Prefectural Primary Normal School founded in 1907. In 1978, it launched the Lincang Teacher Training Class, pioneering higher education in southwestern Yunnan. It evolved through stages as Lincang College of Education and Lincang Teachers College, and was upgraded to an undergraduate institution with Ministry of Education approval in 2015. Covering 732,700 square meters with a total building area of 350,400 square meters, the university comprises 14 secondary colleges offering 37 undergraduate programs, with 11,391 full-time students from 23 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) nationwide.

学校秉持“立德修身、笃学尚行”校训，确立“四三两高”战略发展目标，坚持“地方性、应用性、开放性，差异化、特色化、国际化”办学方向，突出服务边疆治理、地方产业和中缅合作特色。现有教职员工900余人，其中高级职称277人，博士、硕士470人，双师型教师145人，柔性引进知名高校银龄计划教授和高层次人才62名。教学科研仪器设备总值9853.5万元，纸质图书116.91万册，电子图书569.24万册，建有152个校内实验实训室和371个校外实习实践基地，形成了覆盖文、理、工、管、教、艺等多学科的应用型人才培养体系。

Adhering to the motto "Cultivating Virtue and Self-cultivation, Studying Diligently and Practicing Earnestly", the university has established the "Four-Three and Two-High" strategic development goals. It adheres to the orientation of "locality, application, openness, differentiation, characteristics, and internationalization", highlighting services for border governance, local industries, and China-Myanmar cooperation. The university has over 900 faculty members, including 277 with senior titles, 470 doctors and masters, 145 double-qualified teachers, and 62 flexibly introduced senior professors and high-level talents from renowned universities. With teaching and research equipment valued at 98.535 million yuan, 1.1691 million paper books, and 5.6924 million e-books, it has built 152 on-campus laboratories and 371 off-campus internship bases, forming an application-oriented talent training system covering multiple disciplines such as arts, science, engineering, management, education, and art.

近年来，学校积极探索边疆国门大学“三跨”（跨学科、跨学校、跨国境）人才培养机制，累计向社会输送各类专业人才7万余人，升本后已培养六届本科毕业生15415人，毕业生去向落实率持续高于全省平均水平。学校先后获批国家级科研项目25项，省部级项目90项，获国家专利133项，出版学术著作135部，发表核心期刊论文97篇，建设有云南省澜沧江流域茶树资源保护与创新利用重点实验室等8个省部级科研平台，荣获云南省文明校园、云南省高校先进基层党组织等多项荣誉称号，正朝着高水平应用型国门大学的目标稳步迈进。

In recent years, the university has actively explored the "three-cross" (interdisciplinary, inter-university, transnational) talent training mechanism for border gateway universities. It has cumulatively trained over 70,000 professionals for society, with 15,415 undergraduate graduates in six cohorts since becoming an undergraduate institution, and the employment rate of graduates has remained higher than the provincial average. The university has successively obtained 25 national-level scientific research projects, 90 provincial-level projects, 133 national patents, published 135 academic works, and 97 core journal papers. It has built 8 provincial-level scientific research platforms including the Yunnan Key Laboratory for Tea Tree Resources Protection and Innovative Utilization in the Lancang River Basin. It has been awarded honorary titles such as Yunnan Civilized Campus and Advanced Grassroots Party Organization of Yunnan Universities, steadily moving towards the goal of a high-level application-oriented gateway university.
