定西职业技术学院是经甘肃省人民政府批准设立的公办全日制普通高等职业学校，于2023年正式揭牌，由定西市人民政府举办并统筹解决办学经费，接受甘肃省教育厅管理指导。其前身为1937年创办的临洮县立农业职业学校，历经多次发展与整合，形成了以中高本一体化为特色的办学体系，现涵盖农林牧渔、医药卫生、电子信息等多个专业领域。

Dingxi Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time higher vocational school approved by the Gansu Provincial People's Government. Officially unveiled in 2023, it is sponsored by the Dingxi Municipal People's Government, which coordinates funding for its operation, and is under the management and guidance of the Gansu Provincial Department of Education. Tracing its roots to the Lintao County Agricultural Vocational School founded in 1937, the college has undergone multiple stages of development and integration, forming a distinctive educational system integrating secondary, higher vocational, and undergraduate education. It now covers diverse fields including agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery, medicine and health, and electronic information.

学校总占地面积801亩，建筑面积近21万平方米，建有实验实训室90余间、校企合作实践基地41处，现有教职工234人，在校学生3000余人（含本科生800人）。学校以“立足定西、服务地方”为宗旨，重点培养乡村振兴所需的技能型人才，开设中草药栽培与加工、畜牧兽医、大数据技术等9个高职专业，并通过校地合作推动教育链与产业链深度融合。

The college covers a total area of 801 mu (approximately 53.4 hectares) with a building area of nearly 210,000 square meters. It houses over 90 laboratories and training rooms, and 41 school-enterprise cooperative practice bases. Currently, it has 234 faculty members and more than 3,000 students, including 800 undergraduate students. Adhering to the mission of "rooted in Dingxi, serving the local community", the college focuses on cultivating skilled talents needed for rural revitalization. It offers 9 higher vocational majors such as Chinese Herbal Medicine Cultivation and Processing, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and Big Data Technology, and promotes deep integration of the education chain with the industrial chain through school-local cooperation.
