东西大学（East West University，简称EWU）位于孟加拉国达卡市，是一所创办于1996年的私立综合性大学。该校由穆罕默德·法拉胡丁博士领导的学者、商界领袖及教育爱好者共同创立，旨在以可负担的费用提供优质教育。其前身为普罗戈蒂教育与发展基金会（PFED）发起的首个重大项目，依据孟加拉国《1992年私立大学法》正式成立。

East West University (EWU), located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a private comprehensive university founded in 1996. Initiated by a group of scholars, business leaders, and education enthusiasts led by Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, the university aims to provide quality education at an affordable cost. It originated as the flagship project of the Progati Education and Development Foundation (PFED) and was officially established under Bangladesh's Private University Act of 1992.

截至2024年，东西大学已发展为拥有434名教师、10500余名学生的学术机构，设有工商管理学院、数据科学与分析系、电信工程学院等多个院系。学校以“Excellence in Education”为校训，注重实践教学，配备VSAT通信、网络实验室、数字系统实验室等先进设施，并与全球100余家企业建立产学合作关系，为学生提供实习及就业支持。

As of 2024, EWU has grown into an academic institution with 434 faculty members and over 10,500 students, housing multiple colleges and departments including the School of Business, Department of Data Science and Analytics, and School of Telecommunication Engineering. With the motto "Excellence in Education," the university emphasizes practical teaching, equipped with advanced facilities such as VSAT communication systems, network laboratories, and digital system labs. It has also established industry-academia partnerships with over 100 global enterprises to provide internship and employment support for students.

学校开设光纤通信、环境工程、基因工程等特色专业，本科课程学制均为48个月，采用全日制教学模式。录取标准兼顾学术成绩与入学考试，其中75%权重来自校内考试，10%来自中学成绩（SSC/O-level），15%来自高中成绩（HSC/A-level）。此外，学校提供免费医疗服务及就业安置指导，致力于培养具备国际视野的应用型人才。

The university offers specialized programs in Optical Fiber Communication, Environmental Engineering, Genetic Engineering, etc., with all undergraduate courses following a 48-month full-time curriculum. Admission criteria balance academic performance and entrance examinations, with 75% weight from internal tests, 10% from secondary education (SSC/O-level), and 15% from higher secondary education (HSC/A-level). Additionally, EWU provides free medical services and career placement guidance, dedicated to nurturing application-oriented talents with an international perspective.
