福建江夏学院是福建省人民政府举办的省属公办普通本科高校，于2010年3月经教育部批准正式建立。学校溯源于1957年创办的福建省财政厅干部学校、1964年创办的福建省金融职业学校、1980年创办的福建省政法管理干部学院以及1985年创办的福建省经济管理干部学院，具有深厚的办学历史底蕴。

Fujian Jiangxia University is a public undergraduate college run by the People's Government of Fujian Province. It was officially established in March 2010 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The university traces its origins to the Fujian Provincial Department of Finance Cadre School founded in 1957, the Fujian Provincial Financial Vocational School founded in 1964, the Fujian Provincial Institute of Political Science and Law Management Cadres founded in 1980, and the Fujian Provincial Institute of Economic Management Cadres founded in 1985, boasting a profound educational history.

The university is located in Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian Province, with four campuses: Qishan, Jinshan, Yishan, and Tongpan, covering a total area of 1388.4 mu.
