福建幼儿师范高等专科学校是福建省属公办师范类高等专科院校，源于1915年成立的福州协和幼稚师范学校，至今已有百余年办学历史，享有“闽幼正源”之美誉。学校是福建省学前教育和小学艺术教育的开拓者和领跑者，1985年成为中国政府-联合国儿童基金会首批合作项目学校，同年依托学校成立福建省幼儿教师培训中心；1988年获国家教委“为基础教育培养合格师资，方向明确，成绩显著”嘉奖；1993年被国家教委指定在学前教育国际会议上介绍我国学前教育改革经验。

Fujian Preschool Education College is a public normal college under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province, originating from Fuzhou Union Kindergarten Normal School founded in 1915. With a history of over a century, it is renowned as the "Cradle of Preschool Education in Fujian". As a pioneer and leader in preschool education and primary school art education in Fujian, it became one of the first cooperative project schools between the Chinese government and UNICEF in 1985. In the same year, the Fujian Provincial Kindergarten Teachers Training Center was established based on the college. In 1988, it was commended by the State Education Commission for "clearly orienting to cultivating qualified teachers for basic education with remarkable achievements". In 1993, it was designated by the State Education Commission to introduce China's preschool education reform experience at an international preschool education conference.

学校秉承“学高为师，身正为范”的校训精神，现有仓山、白马、金山三个校区，设有学前教育学院、艺术教育学院等8个教学单位，开设学前教育、艺术教育等20个专业。拥有教育部卓越教师培养计划改革项目、国家级骨干专业、国家级“双师型”教师培养培训基地等多项国家级教学资源，附属幼儿园为首批福建省示范性优质幼儿园。建校以来，学校为福建培养了数以万计的优秀师资，全省幼教界8名杰出人民教师中7人、17名正高级幼儿教师中11人毕业于该校，被誉为福建学前教育师资培养的“黄埔军校”。

Adhering to the school motto of "Knowledge makes a teacher, integrity makes a model", the college has three campuses: Cangshan, Baima, and Jinshan. It comprises 8 teaching units including the School of Preschool Education and the School of Art Education, offering 20 majors such as preschool education and art education. It boasts multiple national-level teaching resources including the Ministry of Education's Excellent Teacher Training Program reform project, national-level key majors, and national-level "double-qualified" teacher training base. Its affiliated kindergarten is among the first batch of Fujian Provincial Demonstrative Quality Kindergartens. Since its establishment, the college has cultivated tens of thousands of outstanding teachers for Fujian. Among the 8 outstanding people's teachers in Fujian's preschool education sector, 7 are graduates; 11 out of 17 senior preschool teachers are alumni, earning it the reputation as the "Whampoa Military Academy" for preschool education teacher training in Fujian.
