赣东学院坐落在素有“才子之乡、文化之邦”美誉的江西抚州，是经教育部批准设置，由江西省教育厅主管、抚州市人民政府举办的全日制公办普通本科高校。前身为2002年创建的东华理工大学长江学院，于2021年1月25日转设成立，2021年9月正式启动招生，办学规模暂定为10000人。

Located in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province, known as the "Hometown of Talents and Land of Culture", Gandong College is a full-time public ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, administered by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education and sponsored by the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government. Its predecessor was the Yangtze River College of East China University of Technology, founded in 2002. It was transformed and established on January 25, 2021, and officially started enrollment in September 2021, with a tentative school-running scale of 10,000 students.

当前，学校共设有应用工程学院、信息工程学院、机械与电子工程学院、经济管理学院、人文学院、基础教学部和马克思主义学院等7个教学单位，35个本科专业，涵盖工、理、管、经、文、法、教、艺八大学科门类，目前学校全日制在校本科生7600余人。

At present, the university has 7 teaching units including the School of Applied Engineering, School of Information Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Humanities, Department of Basic Teaching, and School of Marxism, offering 35 undergraduate majors covering eight disciplines: engineering, science, management, economics, literature, law, education, and art. Currently, there are more than 7,600 full-time undergraduate students in the university.
