广东环境保护工程职业学院是2010年2月经广东省人民政府批准设立的全日制公办高等职业院校，以培养绿色低碳、生态环境、节能安全等相关产业高素质技术技能人才为主要特色，隶属广东省教育厅。学校前身为1978年创建的广东省环境保护职业技术学校，2021年与该校实施集团办学，形成中高职贯通格局，2022年成为广东省省域高水平高职院校建设单位。现有佛山、广州两个校区，在校学生1.3万余名，生态环境类专业在省内领先、全国靠前，获国家级教育教学成果奖2项，科研经费投入连续多年居全省高职院校前五。

Guangdong Polytechnic of Environmental Protection Engineering is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province in February 2010. It is characterized by cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents for industries related to green low-carbon, ecological environment, energy conservation and safety, and is affiliated to the Department of Education of Guangdong Province. The college originated from Guangdong Environmental Protection Vocational and Technical School founded in 1978. In 2021, it implemented group-run education with the school, forming a vocational education system integrating secondary and higher vocational education. In 2022, it became a provincial high-level vocational college construction unit in Guangdong. With two campuses in Foshan and Guangzhou, it has over 13,000 students. Its eco-environmental majors lead in Guangdong and rank top in China, with 2 national education and teaching achievement awards. Its research funding has ranked among the top five vocational colleges in Guangdong for years.

The college hosts multiple national platforms including the UNDP - China Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Hydrogen Energy Economy Vocational College Project Demonstration Base and National Environmental Protection Training Base. It serves as the leading unit for revising environmental protection majors in the national vocational education program catalog. According to the 2024 Golden Apple Vocational College Major Competitiveness Ranking, 5 of its majors rank first in China and 5 rank second nationwide. It was listed among the top 20 vocational colleges in Guangdong in the GDI Higher Vocational College Ranking (2024), committed to building a distinctive, first-class high-level vocational college to contribute to Beautiful China and Green Guangdong construction.
