广东茂名幼儿师范专科学校是广东省人民政府批准、教育部备案的全日制公办普通高等专科院校，是广东省第一所幼教师范高等院校，其办学历史可追溯至明朝万历四十年（1612年）的墨池书院。学校历经多次更名与发展，于2016年4月在教育部正式备案，现有茂名和高州两个校区，校园占地面积1200多亩，建筑面积40多万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值7500多万元，纸质图书70多万册。

Guangdong Maoming Preschool Normal College is a full-time public ordinary higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is the first preschool normal college in Guangdong Province, with its educational history dating back to the Mochi Academy founded in the 40th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1612). After several name changes and developments, the school was officially registered with the Ministry of Education in April 2016. It now has two campuses, Maoming and Gaozhou, covering an area of more than 1,200 mu, with a building area of over 400,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is more than 75 million yuan, and there are more than 700,000 paper books.

学校始终秉承“一切为了两代师表的终身发展”的办学理念，恪守“学高为师，身正为范”的校训，形成了“爱、实、严、勤”的优良校风。师范特色鲜明，以学前教育为立校之本，学前教育专业历经70多年积淀成为品牌专业，音乐、美术专业享誉粤西；拥有教授、副教授111人，硕士、博士学位教师300多人，是全国艺术教育特色单位、广东省中小学教师继续教育基地等，近年来师生在全国全省比赛中获奖2000多人次，毕业生就业率达99%以上，被誉为“岭南育师摇篮”。

It has distinct normal school characteristics, with preschool education as the foundation of the school. The preschool education major has become a brand major after more than 70 years of accumulation, and the music and fine arts majors are renowned in western Guangdong. The school has 111 professors and associate professors, and more than 300 teachers with master's and doctoral degrees. It is a national art education characteristic unit, a continuing education base for primary and secondary school teachers in Guangdong Province, etc. In recent years, teachers and students have won more than 2,000 awards in national and provincial competitions, and the employment rate of graduates has reached over 99%, known as the "Cradle of Teachers in Lingnan".
