广东药科大学是广东省属普通高等院校，全国三所药科大学之一，是华南地区最早开办药学系列专业的高等学府。学校创办于1958年，原名广东省卫生干部进修学院，1978年升格为普通本科高校，定名为广东医药学院；1994年更名为广东药学院；2016年经教育部批准，正式更名为广东药科大学。

Guangdong Pharmaceutical University is a provincial public higher education institution in Guangdong Province, one of the three pharmaceutical universities in China, and the earliest higher education institution in South China to offer pharmacy-related programs. Founded in 1958, it was originally named Guangdong Provincial Health Cadre Training College. In 1978, it was upgraded to a regular undergraduate college and renamed Guangdong College of Pharmacy. In 1994, it was renamed Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, and with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2016, it was officially renamed Guangdong Pharmaceutical University.

学校以药学、中西医结合为优势特色，学科专业涵盖医、理、工、管、经、文、法等7个学科门类，形成了以药为主、药医结合、药工融合、多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。现有广州（大学城、赤岗）、中山和云浮三个校区，总占地面积近5300亩，校舍建筑面积140多万平方米。

The university has advantageous and distinctive disciplines in pharmacy and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, covering 7 disciplines including medicine, science, engineering, management, economics, literature, and law. It has formed a disciplinary and professional system characterized by pharmacy as the main focus, integration of pharmacy and medicine, integration of pharmacy and engineering, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It currently has three campuses in Guangzhou (University Town, Chigang), Zhongshan, and Yunfu, with a total area of nearly 5,300 mu and a building area of over 1.4 million square meters.

学校坚持立德树人根本任务，致力于培养具有扎实专业基础、较强实践能力和创新精神的高素质医药人才。现有全日制在校本科生、研究生和留学生3万余人，教职工2300多人，其中具有高级职称人员800多人，拥有一批国家级、省级教学名师和科研团队。

Adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, the university is committed to cultivating high-quality pharmaceutical talents with solid professional foundations, strong practical abilities, and innovative spirits. It currently has over 30,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students, and more than 2,300 faculty members, including over 800 with senior professional titles. It also has a number of national and provincial-level teaching masters and research teams.

近年来，学校在教学、科研、社会服务等方面取得了显著成绩，先后获得国家级教学成果奖、国家科技进步奖等多项荣誉，为国家和地方医药事业发展作出了重要贡献。
