广东工业大学是一所以工为主、工理经管文法艺结合、多科性协调发展的省属重点大学，是广东省高水平大学重点建设高校。学校创建于1958年，1995年由原广东工学院、广东机械学院和华南建设学院（东院）合并组建而成，2021年入选国家“双一流”建设高校。

Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) is a key provincial university with engineering as its main focus, integrating science, engineering, economics, management, liberal arts, law, and arts, and developing in a multidisciplinary and coordinated manner. It is a key construction university for high-level universities in Guangdong Province. Founded in 1958, the university was formed by the merger of the former Guangdong Institute of Technology, Guangdong Institute of Machinery, and South China Institute of Construction (East Campus) in 1995, and was selected into the national "Double First-Class" construction universities in 2021.

学校现有大学城、东风路、龙洞、番禺、沙河、揭阳等多个校区，校园总面积5300余亩。设有25个学院、84个本科专业，拥有一级学科博士学位授权点13个、一级学科硕士学位授权点39个，形成了覆盖工、理、经、管、文、法、艺等七大学科门类的学科体系。

The university currently has multiple campuses including University Town, Dongfeng Road, Longdong, Panyu, Shahe, and Jieyang, with a total campus area of over 5,300 mu. It has 25 colleges and 84 undergraduate majors, with 13 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points and 39 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, forming a disciplinary system covering seven disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, liberal arts, law, and arts.
