甘肃林业职业技术大学是经教育部批准成立的公办本科层次职业大学，全国唯一林业类职业本科院校。学校创建于1956年，前身为甘肃省林业学校，2001年升格为高职学院，2024年升格为职业本科院校。作为我国西北地区唯一独立设置的林业类国家示范性高职院校和国家优质高职院校，学校先后获得全国绿化模范单位、全国精神文明建设工作先进单位、黄炎培职业教育优秀学校奖等荣誉称号。

Gansu Forestry Polytechnic University is a public undergraduate vocational university approved by the Ministry of Education and the only forestry vocational undergraduate institution in China. Founded in 1956 as Gansu Forestry School, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2001 and further升格 to an undergraduate vocational university in 2024. As the only independent forestry national model higher vocational college and national high-quality vocational college in northwest China, the university has successively won honors such as National Model Unit for Afforestation, National Advanced Unit for Spiritual Civilization Construction, and Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Excellent School Award.

学校现有麦积、清水两个校区，总占地面积1075.85亩，建筑面积31.23万平方米，在麦积山建有3700亩实习林场，校企联建校外实训基地380余处。设有10个二级学院及3个教学部，开设9个专业群、42个专业，全日制在校生10060人。教职工651人中，专任教师570人，博士18人，硕士271人，教授53人，双师型教师347人，形成了一支结构合理、素质优良的师资队伍。

The university has two campuses (Maiji and Qingshui) covering a total area of 1075.85 mu with a building area of 312,300 square meters. It has a 3,700-mu practice forest farm in Maiji Mountain and over 380 off-campus training bases jointly built with enterprises. The university consists of 10 secondary colleges and 3 teaching departments, offering 9 professional groups and 42 majors, with 10,060 full-time students. Among the 651 faculty members, there are 570 full-time teachers, including 18 doctors, 271 masters, 53 professors, and 347 double-qualified teachers, forming a well-structured and high-quality teaching team.

学校坚持"砥砺学行，树木树人"校训，深化产教融合、校企合作，构建了以林业特色为核心的专业体系，拥有3个国家级骨干专业、2个全国职业院校林草类重点专业、5个省级特色专业。建成1个国家级虚拟仿真实训基地、3个国家级生产性实训基地，主动服务国家生态文明建设和区域经济社会发展，培养了大批生态环境建设领域高层次技术技能人才。

Adhering to the school motto of "Cultivating Morality and Practice, Nurturing Trees and People", the university deepens industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, and has built a professional system centered on forestry characteristics. It has 3 national key majors, 2 national key majors in forestry and grassland for vocational colleges, and 5 provincial characteristic majors. The university has established 1 national virtual simulation training base and 3 national productive training bases, actively serving national ecological civilization construction and regional economic and social development, and has cultivated a large number of high-level technical and skilled talents in the field of ecological environment construction.
