广东科技学院创建于2003年，是教育部批准设立的一所以工学为主，管理学、经济学、文学、艺术学等多学科协调发展的全日制普通本科院校，坐落于粤港澳大湾区重要节点城市──东莞，拥有南城和松山湖两个校区，占地面积2000余亩。学校于2011年经教育部批准升格为本科院校，2015年取得学士学位授予权，2018年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2021年成功入选广东省硕士学位授予立项建设单位并获批设立广东省博士工作站，2024年高质量完成新一轮教育部本科教育教学审核评估工作。

Guangdong University of Science and Technology was founded in 2003. It is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, focusing on engineering and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as management, economics, literature, and art. Located in Dongguan, a key node city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it has two campuses in Nancheng and Songshan Lake, covering an area of more than 2,000 mu. The university was upgraded to an undergraduate institution with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2011, obtained the right to grant bachelor's degrees in 2015, passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching by the Ministry of Education in 2018, successfully selected as a project construction unit for granting master's degrees in Guangdong Province and approved to establish a doctoral workstation in Guangdong Province in 2021, and successfully completed a new round of undergraduate education and teaching audit assessment by the Ministry of Education in 2024.

学校设有11个二级学院，现有全日制在校生34700余人。目前共开设本科专业47个、专科专业13个。软件工程学科是省级重点培育学科，软件工程专业是国家一流专业建设点；网络工程等3个专业入选广东省一流本科专业建设点；服装设计与工程等3个专业为省级特色培育专业；汽车服务工程等3个专业为省级综合改革试点专业；机械电子工程等10个专业通过IEET工程及科技教育认证；电子商务等15个专业正开展ACBSP国际商科专业认证；22门课程入围省一流课程。

The university has 11 secondary colleges with more than 34,700 full-time students. At present, there are 47 undergraduate majors and 13 junior college majors. Software engineering is a provincial key cultivation discipline, and software engineering major is a national first-class professional construction site; 3 majors including network engineering have been selected as Guangdong provincial first-class undergraduate professional construction sites; 3 majors including fashion design and engineering are provincial characteristic cultivation majors; 3 majors including automotive service engineering are provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors; 10 majors including mechanical and electronic engineering have passed IEET engineering and technology education certification; 15 majors including e-commerce are carrying out ACBSP international business professional certification; 22 courses have been shortlisted for provincial first-class courses.

学校紧密围绕东莞地区重点发展产业优化学科专业体系，积极推进人才培养模式改革，深化校企合作，共获批教育部产学合作协同育人项目94项；与华为、西门子、腾讯云等知名企业和行业协会共建有12个产业学院，其中被广东省教育厅认定省级示范产业学院2个，合作开设96个创新班。学校本科录取分数线逐年上升，学生考研上线人数逐年增加，就业率达97%以上。

The university closely focuses on the key development industries in Dongguan to optimize the discipline and professional system, actively promotes the reform of talent training mode, deepens school-enterprise cooperation, and has obtained 94 industry-university cooperation and collaborative education projects approved by the Ministry of Education. It has jointly established 12 industrial colleges with well-known enterprises such as Huawei, Siemens, Tencent Cloud and industry associations, among which 2 are recognized as provincial demonstration industrial colleges by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, and 96 innovation classes have been jointly opened. The undergraduate admission score line of the university has been rising year by year, the number of students admitted to postgraduate entrance examinations has increased year by year, and the employment rate has reached more than 97%.
