甘肃医学院是省属全日制医学本科院校，是教育部确定的对口支援学校，全国住院医师规范化培训基地。学校坐落于六盘山东麓、世界针灸医学鼻祖皇甫谧故里——甘肃省平凉市，前身是1958年成立的甘肃省平凉卫生学校，2015年5月升格为本科院校并更名，实行省市共建、以省为主的管理体制，2024年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估。

Gansu Medical College is a provincial full-time undergraduate medical college, designated by the Ministry of Education as a counterpart support school and a national standardized training base for resident physicians. Located at the eastern foot of the Liupan Mountains in Pingliang City, Gansu Province—the hometown of Huangfu Mi, the founder of world acupuncture medicine—the college traces its roots to Pingliang Health School established in 1958. It was upgraded to an undergraduate institution in May 2015 under a joint provincial-municipal management system with provincial leadership, and successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment by the Ministry of Education in 2024.

学校开设有临床医学、预防医学等10个本科专业和3个专科专业，拥有1家直属附属医院、2家非直属附属医院及69个实践教学基地，其中省级实验教学示范中心4个。现有教职医护员工1957人，面向全国21个省（市、自治区）招生，普通全日制在校学生近万名，建校60多年来已培养8万余名扎根基层的医疗卫生人才。

The college offers 10 undergraduate programs (including Clinical Medicine and Preventive Medicine) and 3 specialized programs, supported by 1 directly affiliated hospital, 2 non-directly affiliated hospitals, and 69 practical teaching bases (4 of which are provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers). With 1,957 faculty and medical staff, it enrolls students from 21 provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions, hosting nearly 10,000 full-time students. Over its 60+ year history, it has educated over 80,000 medical professionals serving grassroots healthcare.
