桂林航天工业学院创办于1979年,曾隶属于国家第七机械工业部、航天工业部、航空航天工业部、中国航天工业总公司,1999年4月划转到广西壮族自治区,实行中央与地方共建、以地方管理为主的管理体制,2012年升格为本科院校并更名为现名。学校坐落于国际历史文化旅游名城桂林市,是一所以工学为主,管理学、经济学、艺术学等多学科协调发展的公办应用型普通本科院校,以“航天精神铸魂、航天文化育人”为办学特色,致力于培养具有扎实理论基础、较强实践能力和创新精神的高素质应用型人才。
Guilin University of Aerospace Technology was founded in 1979 and was once affiliated to the Seventh Ministry of Machinery Industry, Ministry of Aerospace Industry, Ministry of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and China Aerospace Corporation. In April 1999, it was transferred to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region under the management system of "co-construction by the central and local governments, with local management as the mainstay". Upgraded to an undergraduate college in 2012 and renamed to its current name, the university is located in Guilin, an international famous historical and cultural tourist city. It is a public application-oriented ordinary undergraduate university with engineering as the main discipline, coordinated development of management, economics, art and other disciplines. 学校现有2个国家级一流本科专业建设点、11个自治区级一流本科专业建设点,拥有航空宇航科学与技术等广西一流学科共建项目,以及多个自治区级重点实验室和工程研究中心。近年来,学校积极推进产教融合,与美国印第安纳理工学院合作举办电子信息工程本科教育项目,并牵头组建中国—东盟无人机产业联盟、中国—东盟航天工程师学院,国际化办学特色逐步形成。同时,学校注重学生实践能力培养,近四年获国家级学科竞赛奖励491项,毕业生以“基础扎实、作风严谨、动手能力强”的航天品质受到用人单位好评。
The university currently has 2 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 11 autonomous region-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, with Guangxi first-class discipline co-construction projects such as Aeronautics and Astronautics Science and Technology, as well as multiple autonomous region-level key laboratories and engineering research centers.
