贵州工程应用技术学院坐落于贵州省毕节市，其办学历史可追溯至1938年创建的贵州省立毕节师范学校。历经多次变革与发展，学校于2014年正式更名为贵州工程应用技术学院。作为一所公办全日制普通本科高校，学校以“艰苦创业、不断进取”为办学精神，秉持“以工为主、师范为根、应用为先”的办学定位，致力于培养服务区域经济社会发展的高素质应用型人才。

Guizhou University of Engineering Science is located in Bijie City, Guizhou Province, with its educational history dating back to the establishment of Guizhou Provincial Bijie Normal School in 1938. After several transformations and developments, the university was officially renamed Guizhou University of Engineering Science in 2014. As a public full-time ordinary undergraduate university, it adheres to the school-running spirit of "hard work and continuous progress" and the orientation of "engineering as the main focus, normal education as the foundation, and application as the priority", committed to cultivating high-quality applied talents serving regional economic and social development.

学校现有占地面积1100余亩，教学科研仪器设备总值超过1.4亿元，纸质图书120余万册。设有15个教学院，开设45个本科专业，涵盖工学、理学、教育学、文学、管理学、艺术学等8个学科门类。教职工千余人，其中博士、硕士占比超50%，拥有全国优秀教师、省管专家等一批高层次人才。近年来，学校荣获“全国创新创业典型经验高校”“国家百所产教融合应用型项目建设高校”等多项荣誉称号。

The university currently covers an area of over 1100 mu, with the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment exceeding 140 million yuan and more than 1.2 million paper books. It has 15 teaching colleges and offers 45 undergraduate majors, covering 8 disciplines including engineering, science, education, literature, management, and art. There are over a thousand faculty members, among whom doctors and masters account for more than 50%, including a group of high-level talents such as national outstanding teachers and provincial management experts. In recent years, the university has won many honorary titles such as "National Typical Experience University for Innovation and Entrepreneurship" and "National 100 Production-Education Integration Applied Project Construction Universities".
