广西民族师范学院是由广西壮族自治区人民政府举办的公办全日制普通本科高校，坐落在崇左市，前身为1939年成立的广西省立崇善师范学校，历经多次更名与发展，2009年升格为本科院校并更为现名。学校分别于2016年、2023年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估和审核评估，是广西新一轮硕士学位B类立项建设单位，以师范性、民族性、边疆性为办学特色。

Guangxi Minzu Normal University is a public full-time ordinary undergraduate university run by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, located in Chongzuo City. Its predecessor was Guangxi Provincial Chongshan Normal School founded in 1939. After several renamings and developments, it was upgraded to an undergraduate institution and renamed to its current name in 2009. The university passed the Qualification Assessment of Undergraduate Teaching and the Audit Assessment of Undergraduate Education and Teaching by the Ministry of Education in 2016 and 2023 respectively, and is a Class B project construction unit for master's degrees in the new round of Guangxi, with teacher education, ethnicity, and borderland characteristics as its school-running features.

学校校园占地总面积1141.44亩，校舍建筑总面积48.88万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值2.3亿元，馆藏纸质图书130多万册。现设13个二级学院，49个本科专业，涵盖11大学科门类，拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点2个、自治区级一流本科专业建设点11个，教职工1194人，其中专任教师838人，具有高级职称教师318人。

The university covers a total area of 1141.44 mu, with a total building area of 488,800 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 230 million yuan, and the collection of paper books exceeds 1.3 million. It now has 13 secondary colleges and 49 undergraduate majors, covering 11 disciplines. It has 2 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 11 autonomous region-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites. There are 1194 faculty members, including 838 full-time teachers and 318 teachers with senior professional titles.

学校坚持扎根祖国南疆，秉承“进德修业、崇学善成”的校训，建有多个自治区高校重点实验室和研究基地，在民族文化、边疆治理、桂西南植物资源等领域研究成果丰硕。升本以来，承担国家级科研项目27项，省部级项目147项，为地方基础教育和经济社会发展培养了大批优秀人才，为边疆民族地区的发展作出积极贡献。

Adhering to the school motto of "Promoting Virtue and Learning, Respecting Study and Achieving Well", the university has established a number of key laboratories and research bases of universities in the autonomous region, and has achieved fruitful research results in the fields of ethnic culture, border governance, and plant resources in southwest Guangxi. Since being upgraded to an undergraduate university, it has undertaken 27 national-level scientific research projects and 147 provincial and ministerial-level projects, cultivating a large number of outstanding talents for local basic education and economic and social development, and making positive contributions to the development of border ethnic areas.
