贵阳职业技术学院是贵阳市人民政府举办的一所全日制综合性高等职业院校，实行省市共管、以市为主的办学管理体制。学院成立于2007年4月，先后并入贵阳市科技学校、贵阳市财经学校、贵阳市第一高级技工学校、贵阳市职工中专、贵州省地质学校等5所中职中专学校。学院坚持"立足贵阳、服务贵州、面向全国"的办学定位和"服务地方、特色发展、开放共享"的办学理念，是贵州省示范性高职院校、教育部首批现代学徒制试点单位，近五年向社会培养输送人才19000余人，毕业生就业率均保持在94%以上。

Guiyang Vocational and Technical College is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational college run by the Guiyang Municipal People's Government, implementing a school management system co-administered by provinces and cities with the city as the main body. Founded in April 2007, the college has successively merged 5 secondary vocational and technical schools, including Guiyang Science and Technology School, Guiyang Finance and Economics School, Guiyang No.1 Senior Technical School, Guiyang Staff Secondary School and Guizhou Geological School. Adhering to the school-running orientation of "based in Guiyang, serving Guizhou and facing the whole country" and the school-running philosophy of "serving the local area, developing with characteristics and sharing openly", it is a demonstration higher vocational college in Guizhou Province and one of the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education. In the past five years, it has trained and输送 over 19,000 talents to the society, with the employment rate of graduates remaining above 94%.

学院现有三个校区，总占地面积1070亩，建筑面积45万㎡，设有轨道交通、装备制造、城乡规划、信息科学、旅游文化、财政经贸、生化工程等7个分院系，招生专业25个，全日制在校生15000余人，教职工713人，其中硕士以上学位教师284人（含博士5人），高级职称教师217人（含正高级职称20人），外聘行业专家、大国工匠等60余人。学院拥有大国工匠工作室、国家级技能大师工作室2个，省级大师工作室4个，建成全国交通运输类专业示范点1个，教育部高等职业教育创新发展行动计划骨干专业4个、开放性实训基地2个，以及全国工业机器人领域应用人才培养中心、中德（贵阳）职业技能培训中心等教学实训平台。

The college has three campuses with a total area of 1070 mu and a building area of 450,000 square meters. It has 7 departments including Rail Transit, Equipment Manufacturing, Urban and Rural Planning, Information Science, Tourism and Culture, Finance and Economics, and Biochemical Engineering, offering 25 enrollment majors. There are more than 15,000 full-time students and 713 faculty members, including 284 teachers with master's degree or above (including 5 doctors), 217 teachers with senior titles (including 20 with professor titles), and more than 60 external industry experts and great country craftsmen. The college has 2 Great Country Craftsman Studios and national-level skill master studios, 4 provincial-level master studios, 1 national demonstration site for transportation majors, 4 key majors and 2 open training bases under the Innovative Development Action Plan for Higher Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education, as well as teaching and training platforms such as the National Application Talent Training Center for Industrial Robot Field and Sino-German (Guiyang) Vocational Skills Training Center.
