四川轻化工大学是一所工学、理学、管理学、教育学、文学、历史学、艺术学等多学科协调发展的全日制普通本科院校，入选国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”、教育部“卓越工程师教育培养计划”、国家级大学生创新创业训练计划、四川省“双一流”建设计划、四川省深化创新创业教育改革示范高校。学校拥有宜宾、自贡两个校区，校园占地近4000亩，建筑面积160多万平方米，教学科研仪器设备值近6亿元。现有教职工2300余人，其中教授、副教授及其他高级职称人员近1000人，具有博士、硕士学位教师占比超过80%。全日制在校本科生、研究生及留学生等3.8万余人。学校设有24个二级学院，开设79个本科专业，拥有7个一级学科硕士学位授权点，13个硕士专业学位授权类别。在长期办学过程中，学校形成了“厚德达理、励志勤工”的校训和“勤奋求实、艰苦奋斗、无私奉献、校兴我荣”的黄岭精神，培养了大批适应社会发展需要的高素质应用型人才。

Sichuan University of Science & Engineering is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university with coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as engineering, science, management, education, literature, history, and art. It has been selected into the National "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in Central and Western China", the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program", the National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, Sichuan Province's "Double First-Class" Construction Plan, and Sichuan Province's Demonstration University for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform. The university has two campuses in Yibin and Zigong, covering an area of nearly 4,000 mu, with a building area of more than 1.6 million square meters and teaching and research equipment worth nearly 600 million yuan. There are more than 2,300 faculty members, including nearly 1,000 professors, associate professors and other senior professional title personnel, and more than 80% of the teachers have doctoral or master's degrees. There are more than 38,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international students. The university has 24 secondary colleges, offering 79 undergraduate majors, 7 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 13 master's professional degree authorization categories. 学校高度重视学科建设和科学研究，拥有化学工程与技术、控制科学与工程、机械工程等省级重点学科，建有国家级一流本科专业建设点20个、省级一流本科专业建设点29个，国家级特色专业4个、省级特色专业14个。近年来，学校承担国家级科研项目100余项，省部级科研项目500余项，获省部级及以上科研奖励近100项，其中四川省科技进步奖、社会科学优秀成果奖等30余项。学校积极推动产学研合作，与地方政府、企业共建了一批高水平科研平台和产业技术研究院，为区域经济社会发展提供了有力的科技支撑和人才保障。

The university attaches great importance to discipline construction and scientific research, with provincial key disciplines such as Chemical Engineering and Technology, Control Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. It has 20 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 29 provincial-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 4 national-level characteristic majors, and 14 provincial-level characteristic majors. In recent years, the university has undertaken more than 100 national-level scientific research projects and more than 500 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, and has won nearly 100 scientific research awards at or above the provincial and ministerial level, including more than 30 Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards and Outstanding Social Science Achievement Awards.
