兰州资源环境职业技术大学是整合兰州财经大学长青学院、兰州资源环境职业技术学院办学资源，经教育部批准设置的公办本科层次职业大学。学校前身是隶属于中国气象局的兰州气象学校（始建于1951年）和隶属于甘肃省煤炭工业局的甘肃煤炭职工大学（始建于1984年）。2004年两校合并改建为我国西部第一所资源环境类普通高等职业院校，2021年3月甘肃省水利水电学校并入。学校是全国首批公办职业本科高校、甘肃唯一的首轮中国特色高水平高职学校，也是甘肃省政府、应急管理部、中国气象局共建高校，荣获全国黄炎培职业教育奖、全国文明校园等荣誉。

Lanzhou University of Resources and Environment is a public undergraduate vocational university approved by the Ministry of Education, integrating the educational resources of Changqing College of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics and Lanzhou Vocational College of Resources and Environment. Its predecessors are Lanzhou Meteorological School (founded in 1951) affiliated to China Meteorological Administration and Gansu Coal Workers University (founded in 1984) affiliated to Gansu Provincial Coal Industry Bureau. In 2004, the two schools merged to form the first higher vocational college specializing in resources and environment in western China. In March 2021, Gansu Water Conservancy and Hydropower School was merged into the college. It is one of the first public vocational undergraduate universities in China, the only first-round high-level vocational school with Chinese characteristics in Gansu, and a university co-built by Gansu Provincial Government, Ministry of Emergency Management and China Meteorological Administration. It has won honors such as the National Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award and National Civilized Campus.

学校现有窦家山、段家滩两个校区及1个产教融合示范园，占地面积1171亩，教学科研仪器设备总值4.59亿元，图书馆藏书150万册。设有12个特色专业群，含27个职业本科专业、2个国家级高水平专业群，全日制在校生21000人，其中本科生10700余人。作为全国首批定向培养士官试点院校，现有在校军士生2500人，覆盖7大军兵种和武警部队，累计输送5000余名技能军士人才，毕业生就业去向落实率常年保持98%以上。

The university has two campuses (Doujiashan and Duanjiatan) and one industry-education integration demonstration park, covering an area of 1171 mu. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 459 million yuan, and the library has a collection of 1.5 million books. It has 12 characteristic professional groups, including 27 vocational undergraduate majors and 2 national high-level professional groups. There are 21,000 full-time students, including more than 10,700 undergraduates. As one of the first pilot universities for定向 training of non-commissioned officers in China, it has 2,500 military cadets on campus, covering 7 military services and the Armed Police Force, with more than 5,000 skilled military talents trained. The employment rate of graduates has remained above 98% for years.
