河北金融学院坐落于国家历史文化名城、京津冀区域中心城市保定市，始建于1952年，原隶属于中国人民银行总行，2007年升格为本科院校并更现名。作为华北、西北地区唯一一所中央与地方共建金融院校，学校是河北省优先发展的金融人才培养基地，秉持“明德守信、求真尚行”校训，以“思政+专业+科技”新财经人才培养战略为核心，致力于培养高素质复合型、应用型金融人才。

Hebei Finance University is located in Baoding, a national historical and cultural city and a central city in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Founded in 1952 and originally affiliated to the People's Bank of China, it was upgraded to an undergraduate institution and renamed in 2007. As the only central-local co-built financial institution in North and Northwest China, it is a priority financial talent training base in Hebei Province. Adhering to the motto "Virtue, Integrity, Truth-seeking and Practice", the university focuses on the "Ideological and Political + Professional + Technology" new financial talent training strategy to cultivate high-quality compound and applied financial talents.

学校占地面积1000余亩，校舍建筑面积27.5万平方米，拥有现代化教学设施与142.6万册纸质藏书的图书馆，金融博物馆馆藏资源达5500余件。设有11个学院及4个公共教学部门，开设41个本科专业，其中国家级一流本科专业建设点3个、省级8个，形成以经济学、管理学为主体，文、法、理、工多学科协调发展的学科体系。近五年承担省部级以上科研课题585项，获科研奖励15项，与150余家金融机构共建产业学院，被誉为“金融人才摇篮”。

Covering an area of over 1,000 mu with 275,000 square meters of building space, the university boasts modern teaching facilities, a library with 1.426 million paper books, and a Financial Museum housing over 5,500 collections. It comprises 11 colleges and 4 public teaching departments, offering 41 undergraduate programs including 3 national-level and 8 provincial-level first-class undergraduate program construction sites. The discipline system centers on economics and management, with coordinated development of arts, law, science, and engineering. In the past five years, it has undertaken 585 provincial-level and above research projects, won 15 research awards, and co-built industrial colleges with over 150 financial institutions, earning the reputation as the "Cradle of Financial Talents".

学校现有教职工1000余人，其中副教授以上职称教师占比35%，拥有省级优秀教学团队8支，国家级一流本科课程2门。毕业生就业率连续保持河北省高校前列，金融行业就业比例显著，校友网络覆盖全国金融系统，为我国金融事业发展提供了坚实人才支撑。
