合肥工业大学是一所教育部直属的全国重点大学，国家“双一流”建设高校，国家“211工程”重点建设高校。学校创建于1945年，历经淮南工业专科学校、合肥矿业学院、安徽工学院等发展阶段，1958年正式定名合肥工业大学。学校以工为主，工、理、文、经、管、法、艺等多学科协调发展，在人才培养、科学研究、社会服务等方面形成了鲜明特色和显著优势。

Hefei University of Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, a national "Double First-Class" construction university, and a key construction university of the national "211 Project". Founded in 1945, the university has gone through stages of development such as Huainan Industrial Junior College, Hefei Mining Institute, and Anhui Institute of Technology, and was officially named Hefei University of Technology in 1958. With engineering as its main focus, the university develops coordinately in multiple disciplines including science, liberal arts, economics, management, law, and art, forming distinct characteristics and remarkable advantages in talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services.

学校现有屯溪路、翡翠湖、六安路、宣城等多个校区，总占地面积达5000余亩。拥有一支结构合理、水平较高的师资队伍，其中包括中国工程院院士、国家级教学名师等一批高层次人才。学校在智能制造、新能源汽车、新材料、人工智能等领域的研究成果丰硕，为国家和地方经济社会发展作出了重要贡献。

The university currently has multiple campuses including Tunxi Road, Feicui Lake, Liuan Road, and Xuancheng, with a total area of over 5,000 mu. It has a well-structured and high-level faculty, including a group of high-level talents such as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and national-level teaching masters. The university has achieved fruitful research results in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicles, new materials, and artificial intelligence, making important contributions to the economic and social development of the country and localities.
