广州医科大学是一所以医学为优势和特色，开展博士、硕士、本科多层次人才培养的广东省高水平大学建设高校。学校创办于1958年，原名广州医学院，2013年更名为广州医科大学。学校下设25个学院，拥有直属附属医院12所，开设本科专业39个，覆盖医学、理学、工学、管理学、法学等多个学科门类。

Guangzhou Medical University is a high-level university in Guangdong Province with medicine as its优势 and特色, carrying out multi-level talent training at doctoral, master's and undergraduate levels. Founded in 1958, formerly known as Guangzhou Medical College, it was renamed Guangzhou Medical University in 2013. The university has 25 colleges, 12 directly affiliated hospitals, and 39 undergraduate majors, covering multiple disciplines such as medicine, science, engineering, management, and law.

学校临床医学、药理学与毒理学、分子生物学与遗传学、生物学与生物化学、免疫学、神经科学与行为学等6个学科进入ESI全球前1%，其中临床医学入选国家“双一流”建设学科。学校拥有国家重点实验室1个、国家临床医学研究中心3个、国家工程研究中心1个等一批国家级高水平科研平台。

Six disciplines of the university, including Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biology and Biochemistry, Immunology, Neuroscience and Behavior, have entered the top 1% of ESI globally, among which Clinical Medicine was selected as a national "Double First-Class" construction discipline. The university has a number of national high-level scientific research platforms such as 1 National Key Laboratory, 3 National Clinical Medical Research Centers, and 1 National Engineering Research Center.
