贵州建设职业技术学院创建于1979年，是贵州省教育厅直属的全日制公办普通高等专科学校，历经贵州省建筑材料工业学校、贵州省建设学校等发展阶段，2014年定名为现用校名。学院以培养建设类技术技能型人才为核心定位，主校区位于贵阳市清镇职教城东区百花路，总占地610亩，设有清镇、观山湖两个校区，现有建筑工程学院、建筑设计学院等6个教学单位，开设36个专业，在校学生1.2万余人。

Guizhou Construction Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1979 and is a full-time public ordinary higher vocational college directly under the Education Department of Guizhou Province. It has gone through developmental stages such as Guizhou Building Materials Industry School and Guizhou Construction School, and was renamed to its current name in 2014. With the core orientation of cultivating technical and skilled talents in the construction field, the college is mainly located at Baihua Road, East District of Vocational Education City in Qingzhen, Guiyang, covering a total area of 610 mu with two campuses in Qingzhen and Guanshanhu. It currently has 6 teaching units including the School of Civil Engineering and the School of Architectural Design, offering 36 majors with over 12,000 students.

学院秉持"厚德、精技、乐学、善教"的校训，凝练"学鲁班精神、做大国工匠"的育人理念，构建了以建筑工程、建筑设备专业群为代表的五大专业体系，拥有国家级建筑行业技能型紧缺人才培训基地、省级优质高职院校等资质。现有教职工近600人，其中"双师型"教师占比62%，建有7万余平方米实习实训场所，毕业生就业率连续多年稳定在95%以上，是贵州省建设类技术技能人才培养的核心基地。

Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Proficiency, Eagerness to Learn, and Good Teaching", the college has condensed the educational philosophy of "Learning Luban's Spirit, Becoming Great Craftsmen". It has built five major professional systems represented by the construction engineering and construction equipment professional groups, and holds qualifications such as the national-level training base for skilled talents in the construction industry and provincial high-quality vocational colleges. There are nearly 600 faculty members, among whom 62% are "double-qualified" teachers. The college has built more than 70,000 square meters of internship and training venues, with the employment rate of graduates remaining stable at over 95% for many years, making it a core base for cultivating technical and skilled talents in the construction field in Guizhou Province.
