贵州师范学院位于贵州省贵阳市乌当区，是一所省属全日制普通本科高等院校。学校前身系创建于1978年的贵州教育学院，2009年改制为全日制普通本科院校，2012年获学士学位授予单位资格，2015年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2017年获批省级“双一流”建设项目建设单位，2023年作为贵州省首家部省协同试点顺利完成本科教育教学审核评估，2024年获硕士学位授予单位资格。

Guizhou Normal College is a provincial full-time ordinary undergraduate institution located in Wudang District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. Its predecessor was Guizhou Institute of Education founded in 1978. It was restructured into a full-time ordinary undergraduate college in 2009, obtained the qualification of a bachelor's degree-granting unit in 2012, passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2015, was approved as a provincial "Double First-Class" construction project unit in 2017, successfully completed the undergraduate education teaching audit assessment as the first provincial-ministerial collaborative pilot in Guizhou Province in 2023, and obtained the qualification of a master's degree-granting unit in 2024.

学校现有18个教学单位、44个本科招生专业、3个硕士专业学位授权点，涵盖经济学、法学、教育学、文学、理学、工学等10个学科门类，全日制在校生15000余名，形成了涵盖本科教育、研究生教育、留学生教育、继续教育等多层次、多形式的人才培养体系。有一所附属中学——贵州省实验中学。近年来，学校获批国家级项目149项，其中国家自然科学基金项目73项，国家社会科学基金项目76项；省部级科研项目480余项。近三年，学生在中国国际大学生创新大赛、“挑战杯”等赛事中获省部级以上奖项500余项，在中国国际大学生创新大赛中共获金奖8项，金奖数量连续三年并列全国师范类高校第一，全国新建本科院校第一、贵州省高校第一。

The university currently has 18 teaching units, 44 undergraduate enrollment majors, and 3 professional master's degree authorization points, covering 10 disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, science, and engineering. It has more than 15,000 full-time students, forming a multi-level and multi-form talent training system covering undergraduate education, postgraduate education, international student education, and continuing education. It has an affiliated middle school - Guizhou Experimental Middle School. In recent years, the university has been approved for 149 national-level projects, including 73 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 76 National Social Science Foundation projects; more than 480 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects. In the past three years, students have won more than 500 provincial and ministerial-level awards in competitions such as the China International College Students' Innovation Competition and the "Challenge Cup". They have won 8 gold medals in the China International College Students' Innovation Competition, with the number of gold medals ranking first among normal universities in China, first among newly-built undergraduate universities in China, and first among universities in Guizhou Province for three consecutive years.
