贵州农业职业学院是2015年经贵州省人民政府批准成立，国家教育部备案，由贵州省畜牧兽医学校、贵州省农业机电学校、贵州省机电学校合并组建的公办全日制普通高等学校，是贵州省唯一一所农业类高职院校。学院以立德树人为根本，以强农兴农为己任，紧紧围绕省委、省政府决策部署，积极顺应贵州区域经济和现代山地特色高效农业发展需求，努力夯实基础、提高质量，呈现良好的发展势头。

Guizhou Vocational College of Agriculture is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government in 2015 and registered with the Ministry of Education. It was formed by the merger of Guizhou Animal Husbandry and Veterinary School, Guizhou Agricultural Machinery and Electrical School, and Guizhou Mechanical and Electrical School, being the only agricultural vocational college in Guizhou Province. With moral education as its foundation and strengthening agriculture and invigorating agriculture as its mission, the college closely follows the decisions and arrangements of the provincial party committee and government, actively adapts to the development needs of Guizhou's regional economy and modern mountainous characteristic high-efficiency agriculture, and strives to consolidate its foundation, improve quality, showing a good development momentum.

学院围绕服务乡村振兴、大数据、大生态三大战略行动，培养满足生产、建设、管理一线需要的高素质技术技能人才，按照专业群对接产业链思路，专业设置覆盖一二三产，设畜牧水产系、机电系等10系25个专业，高职学生规模达15000余人。现有教职工691人，其中677名专任教师，具有高级专业技术职务以上教师91人，研究生以上学历324人（博士9人）。2021年获农业农村部、教育部联合认定为全国乡村振兴人才培养优质校，2022年入选《贵州省特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划》高水平高职学校立项建设单位。

Centering on serving the three major strategic actions of rural revitalization, big data, and big ecology, the college cultivates high-quality technical and skilled talents needed for the frontline of production, construction, and management. In accordance with the idea of professional groups connecting industrial chains, the majors cover primary, secondary and tertiary industries, with 10 departments including Animal Husbandry and Aquaculture Department, Mechanical and Electrical Department, etc., and 25 majors, with the scale of higher vocational students reaching more than 15,000. There are 691 faculty members, including 677 full-time teachers, 91 teachers with senior professional and technical positions or above, and 324 teachers with graduate degrees or above (9 doctors). In 2021, it was jointly recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Education as a national high-quality school for rural revitalization talent training, and in 2022, it was selected as a project construction unit of high-level vocational schools in the "Guizhou Provincial Characteristic High-level Vocational Schools and Professional Construction Plan".
