广州体育学院位于粤港澳大湾区中心城市广州市中轴线上，创建于1956年，是新中国最早创建的体育高校之一，是华南地区唯一独立建制具有本科和研究生教育的体育高等学府，是以体育学为主多学科融合的现代大学。

Guangzhou Sport University is located on the central axis of Guangzhou, a core city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Founded in 1956, it is one of the earliest sports universities established in New China and the only independent sports institution of higher learning in South China offering both undergraduate and postgraduate education. It is a modern university with sports science as its main focus and multi-disciplinary integration.
