贵州水利水电职业技术学院创建于1956年，历经贵阳水利学校、贵州省水利电力学院、贵州省水利电力学校等时期，2016年正式更名为贵州水利水电职业技术学院，是一所全日制公办普通高职院校。学院位于贵州省贵阳市清镇市职教城西区龙井路1号，占地面积600亩，现有在校学生1.2万余人，教职工近600人。

Guizhou Water Conservancy and Hydropower Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1956. It has gone through periods such as Guiyang Water Conservancy School, Guizhou Water Conservancy and Electric Power College, and Guizhou Water Conservancy and Electric Power School. In 2016, it was officially renamed Guizhou Water Conservancy and Hydropower Vocational and Technical College, which is a full-time public vocational college. The college is located at No. 1 Longjing Road, West District of Vocational Education City, Qingzhen City, Guizhou Province, covering an area of 600 mu, with more than 12,000 students and nearly 600 faculty members.

学院紧紧围绕“以水润德、泽被万物”的文化理念，全方位打造蕴含浓郁水文化特色的低碳、环保、绿色、生态、智慧校园，推动校园环境、教学科研、实践活动、社会服务“四位一体”文化育人走深走实。开设水利工程类、电力工程类、土木工程类、管理工程类、智能工程类五大专业集群共25个专业，作为全省首家开展“双证书”技能鉴定试点的高职院校，积极推动“岗课赛证”综合育人机制改革，师生先后荣获全国职业院校技能大赛、“互联网+”大学生创新创业大赛等各级各类赛事奖项近500项，毕业生就业率和就业质量持续保持在同类院校前列。

Centering on the cultural concept of "Cultivating Virtue with Water, Benefiting All Things", the college comprehensively builds a low-carbon, environmentally friendly, green, ecological and intelligent campus with strong water culture characteristics, promoting the in-depth implementation of the "four-in-one" cultural education integrating campus environment, teaching and scientific research, practical activities and social services. It offers 25 majors in five professional clusters: Water Conservancy Engineering, Electric Power Engineering, Civil Engineering, Management Engineering, and Intelligent Engineering. As the first vocational college in the province to carry out the "double certificate" skill appraisal pilot, it actively promotes the reform of the "post-course-competition-certificate" comprehensive education mechanism. Teachers and students have won nearly 500 awards in various competitions such as the National Vocational College Skills Competition and the "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the employment rate and quality of graduates have remained at the forefront of similar colleges.
