贵州体育职业学院2023年经贵州省人民政府批准、教育部备案正式成立，办学历史可追溯至1973年成立的贵州省体育学校；是贵州省体育局主管的贵州省唯一的集体育高等职业教学、运动训练、社会培训、体育科研于一体的全日制高等职业学院。

Guizhou Vocational College of Sports was officially established in 2023 with the approval of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education. Its educational history can be traced back to the Guizhou Sports School founded in 1973. It is the only full-time higher vocational college in Guizhou Province under the charge of the Guizhou Provincial Sports Bureau, integrating higher vocational sports teaching, sports training, social training and sports scientific research.

学院坐落于贵阳市花溪区花溪大道南段638号（董家堰），占地面积607亩，毗邻风景宜人的孔学堂、十里河滩，交通便利，环境幽美。学院始终秉承“修身、立德、爱国、铸魂”的校训和“知行合一，文武超卓”的办学理念，致力于培养政治素质坚定、道德品质高尚，热爱体育事业、职业素养良好、专业技术能力精深的卓越体育职业技能型人才。

The college is located at No. 638, South Section of Huaxi Avenue, Huaxi District, Guiyang City (Dongjiayan), covering an area of 607 mu. It is adjacent to the scenic Kong Academy and Shili River Beach, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment. Adhering to the school motto of "Cultivate oneself, establish morality, love the country, and cast the soul" and the school-running philosophy of "Unity of knowledge and practice, excellence in both civil and military affairs", the college is committed to cultivating outstanding sports vocational and technical talents with firm political quality, noble moral character, love for sports, good professional quality and profound professional technical ability.
