贵州中医药大学创建于1965年，原名贵阳中医学院，2018年更名为贵州中医药大学。学校秉承“厚德明志，笃学力行”的校训，坚持“发展为先、质量为本、创新为源、育才为用”的办学理念，是贵州省重点支持建设高校、国家中医药管理局和贵州省人民政府共建高校。

Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (GZYUCM) was founded in 1965, originally named Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and was renamed to its current name in 2018. Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue and Aspiration, Learning and Practice", the university upholds the educational philosophy of "Development as Priority, Quality as Foundation, Innovation as Source, and Talent Cultivation for Application". It is a key supported university in Guizhou Province and a joint construction university by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the People's Government of Guizhou Province.

学校现有花溪、甲秀两个校区，占地约1480亩，设有19个直属院（部），35个本科专业覆盖医学、理学、工学等7个学科门类。拥有博士学位授权一级学科2个、硕士学位授权一级学科4个，省部级以上重点学科32个，其中国家重点（培育）学科1个。两所直属附属医院均为三级甲等中医院，形成了集教学、科研、医疗为一体的中医药高等教育体系。

The university has two campuses, Huaxi and Jiaxiu, covering an area of approximately 1480 mu. It has 19 directly affiliated colleges (departments) and 35 undergraduate majors covering 7 disciplines including medicine, science, and engineering. It boasts 2 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, 4 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degrees, and 32 key disciplines at or above the provincial and ministerial level, including 1 national key (cultivation) discipline. The two directly affiliated hospitals are both tertiary grade A traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, forming a higher education system integrating teaching, scientific research, and medical care.
