河南工业大学始建于1956年，是一所以工学为主，涵盖工学、理学、经济学、管理学、文学、法学、艺术学等学科门类的多科性大学。学校坚持“育人为本、质量立校、特色发展”的办学理念，在粮食产后安全与加工、磨料磨具及超硬材料等领域形成了鲜明的学科特色和优势，相关学科处于国内领先水平。

Henan University of Technology, founded in 1956, is a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, covering disciplines such as engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, and art. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, quality-based, and characteristic development", the university has formed distinct disciplinary characteristics and advantages in fields such as post-harvest grain safety and processing, abrasive tools, and superhard materials, with related disciplines leading domestically.

学校现有莲花街、嵩山路、中原路三个校区，占地面积2760亩，校舍建筑面积109万平方米。设有23个学院，74个本科专业，拥有4个博士后科研流动站、3个一级学科博士学位授权点、25个一级学科硕士学位授权点、14个硕士专业学位授权类别。全日制本科生、研究生、留学生36000余人，教职工2300余人，其中高级职称教师800余人，院士、长江学者等国家级人才30余人。

The university currently has three campuses: Lianhuajie, Songshan Road, and Zhongyuan Road, covering an area of 2760 mu with a building area of 1.09 million square meters. It has 23 colleges and 74 undergraduate majors, with 4 post-doctoral research stations, 3 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 25 first-level discipline master programs, and 14 professional master degree categories. There are over 36,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students, and more than 2,300 faculty members, including over 800 with senior professional titles and over 30 national-level talents such as academicians and Yangtze River Scholars.

近年来，学校大力推进教育教学改革，荣获国家级教学成果奖8项，建有国家级一流本科专业建设点34个、国家级特色专业5个。科研实力持续增强，近五年承担国家重点研发计划、国家自然科学基金等国家级项目300余项，获国家科技进步奖、发明奖6项，省部级科研奖励150余项。积极开展国际交流合作，与50多个国家和地区的150余所高校建立了友好合作关系。

In recent years, the university has vigorously promoted education and teaching reform, winning 8 national teaching achievement awards, and has established 34 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 5 national characteristic majors. Its scientific research strength has continuously enhanced, undertaking over 300 national-level projects such as the National Key R&D Program and National Natural Science Foundation in the past five years, winning 6 national science and technology progress awards and invention awards, and over 150 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research awards. Actively carrying out international exchanges and cooperation, it has established friendly cooperative relations with more than 150 universities in over 50 countries and regions.
