海南比勒费尔德应用科学大学(简称海南比科大)是经中国教育部批准设立,由德国比勒费尔德应用科学大学在海南自由贸易港独立创办的具有独立法人资格的国际化应用型大学,于2023年9月正式开学,是中国境内首所境外高校在海南独立办学的机构,也是德国公立高校首次在中国独立办学的项目。学校依托德国领先的“实践嵌入式”教育理念,紧密结合海南自贸港建设与中德企业人才需求,构建学习与实践深度融合的培养体系,实行专业课程全英文教学并同步开设德语课程,致力于培养具备国际视野、实践能力和跨文化沟通能力的创新型人才。
Hainan Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (BiUH) is an international application-oriented university with independent legal personality approved by China's Ministry of Education. Established and operated independently by Germany's Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences in the Hainan Free Trade Port, it officially opened in September 2023. As the first independent办学 institution of a foreign university in Hainan and the first independent办学 project of a German public university in China, BiUH relies on Germany's leading "practice-embedded" educational philosophy. The university's permanent campus is located in Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Danzhou City, Hainan Province. Phase I covers an area of approximately 300 mu (20 hectares) with a total investment of 1.04 billion yuan, accommodating over 2,500 students. Upon completion of Phase II in 2029, the campus will have a capacity of more than 12,000 students. Currently offering undergraduate programs such as Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Information Science and Technology, Economic Engineering, and Logistics Engineering, BiUH has expanded its academic portfolio with new programs including Mechatronic Engineering, Software Engineering, and Business Administration, forming a disciplinary matrix covering information technology, intelligent manufacturing, and digital economy.
