湖北第二师范学院位于九省通衢的湖北省武汉市，是一所以教师教育为主要特色，教育学、理学、工学、文学、管理学、艺术学等学科为支撑的省属普通本科院校，是湖北省教师教育的重要基地之一。学校前身是1931年创立的湖北省立教育学院，2003年和2009年，湖北省工业学校、湖北省经济管理干部学院先后整体并入，2007年改制更名为湖北第二师范学院，2012年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估。湖北省普通教育干部培训中心、湖北省中小学教师继续教育中心设在学校，在服务全省基础教育改革与发展中发挥重要作用。

Hubei University of Education is located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, a transportation hub connecting nine provinces. It is a provincial public undergraduate university featuring teacher education, supported by disciplines such as Education, Science, Engineering, Literature, Management, and Art. It is one of the important bases for teacher education in Hubei. The university originated from Hubei Provincial College of Education founded in 1931. In 2003 and 2009, Hubei Industrial School and Hubei Institute of Economic Management were merged into the university respectively. It was renamed Hubei University of Education in 2007 and passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment by the Ministry of Education in 2012. The Hubei Provincial General Education Cadre Training Center and Hubei Primary and Secondary School Teachers Continuing Education Center are located here, playing a key role in serving the reform and development of basic education in the province.

学校地处中国光谷核心区，校园面积1718亩，建筑面积43.7万平方米，设有15个二级学院，开办52个普通本科专业，全日制在校生1.5万多人。现有教职工1179人，专任教师763人，其中高级职称教师343人，具有博士学位教师224人，81位教师受聘为高校硕士生导师。学校坚持“举教师教育旗、走应用发展路、育创新创业才”，拥有5个国家级、省级专业综合改革试点项目，16门国家级、省级精品资源共享课程，近3年学生在国家级学科竞赛中获奖317项，其中“创青春”全国大学生创业竞赛获金奖。

Located in the core area of China Optics Valley, the university covers an area of 1718 mu with a building area of 437,000 square meters. It has 15 secondary colleges offering 52 undergraduate programs, with over 15,000 full-time students. The faculty consists of 1179 staff, including 763 full-time teachers, among whom 343 have senior titles and 224 hold doctoral degrees. 81 teachers serve as master supervisors in other universities. Adhering to the philosophy of "Upholding Teacher Education, Pursuing Applied Development, Cultivating Innovative Talents", the university has 5 national and provincial pilot projects for professional comprehensive reform, 16 national and provincial excellent resource-sharing courses. In the past three years, students have won 317 awards in national academic competitions, including the gold medal in the "Chuangqingchun" National College Students Entrepreneurship Competition.
