河北软件职业技术学院坐落于历史文化名城保定市，是直属河北省教育厅的全日制普通高等职业技术学院，也是省内首家独立建制的以信息技术教育为主的高职院校。学院始建于1972年，在52年办学历程中，坚持“立德树人”根本任务和“学院与社会零距离、学生与岗位零距离”的办学模式，立足京津冀、服务ICT产业，形成了对接新兴产业、服务区域发展的鲜明办学特色。

Hebei Software Institute is located in Baoding, a famous historical and cultural city. It is a full-time ordinary higher vocational and technical college directly under the Education Department of Hebei Province, and also the first independent higher vocational college in the province focusing on information technology education. Founded in 1972, during its 52-year running history, the institute adheres to the fundamental task of "establishing morality and cultivating talents" and the school-running model of "zero distance between college and society, zero distance between students and posts", based in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and serving the ICT industry, forming a distinct school-running characteristic of docking emerging industries and serving regional development.

学院是教育部确定的河北省唯一一所国家示范性软件职业技术学院建设单位，国家优质专科高等职业院校建设立项单位，国家级职业教育教师教学创新团队立项建设单位，全国云计算产教融合共同体轮值理事长单位。著名计算机专家、中国工程院院士倪光南先生为学院名誉院长。校本部位于保定市莲池区东风东路999号，阜平校区位于保定市阜平县阜东经济开发区，校区总占地面积约600亩，校舍总建筑面积约22.4万平方米，现有教职工500余人，在校生一万二千余人。

The institute is the only national demonstration software vocational and technical college construction unit in Hebei Province determined by the Ministry of Education, a national high-quality junior college construction project unit, a national vocational education teacher teaching innovation team project construction unit, and the rotating chairman unit of the National Cloud Computing Industry-Education Integration Community. Mr. Ni Guangnan, a famous computer expert and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, is the honorary president of the institute. The main campus is located at No. 999 Dongfeng East Road, Lianchi District, Baoding City, and the Fuping campus is located in Fudong Economic Development Zone, Fuping County, Baoding City. The total campus area is about 600 mu, with a total building area of about 224,000 square meters. There are more than 500 faculty members and more than 12,000 students.
