湖北铁道运输职业学院（武汉铁路技师学院）是经湖北省人民政府批准组建，由省人力资源和社会保障厅主管的公办全日制高等职业院校，教育教学业务接受省教育厅管理和指导。学院溯源于1972年建立的武汉铁路局花园铁路技工学校，历经多次合并与更名，于2015年正式建立湖北铁道运输职业学院，2017年湖北省纺织工业技工学校本部并入。学院坐落于武汉市洪山区，校园面积179.8亩，建筑面积5.88万平方米，另建有400亩的中华科技园新校区（筹建中），是专注培养铁路和城市轨道交通行业技术技能型人才的“轨道交通司机摇篮”。

Hubei Railway Transportation Vocational College (Wuhan Railway Technician College) is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government, under the supervision of the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, with educational and teaching operations managed and guided by the Provincial Department of Education. Tracing its roots to the Wuhan Railway Bureau Huayuan Railway Technical School founded in 1972, the college underwent multiple mergers and name changes before being officially established as Hubei Railway Transportation Vocational College in 2015. In 2017, the main campus of Hubei Textile Industry Technical School was incorporated into the college. Located in Hongshan District, Wuhan, the college covers an area of 179.8 mu with a building area of 58,800 square meters, and is constructing a new 400-mu campus in the China Science and Technology Park. It is renowned as the "Cradle of Rail Transit Drivers" for cultivating technical talents in railway and urban rail transit industries.

学院以铁道运输和城市轨道交通为特色，开设城市轨道交通车辆技术、铁道机车运用与维护、铁道交通运营管理等核心专业，在校学生4500余人，年均培训在职职工3000余人次。教学设施包括10个现代化实习实训中心、80个实验实训室及多媒体教室，教学仪器设备总值超6000万元，图书馆藏书46万余册。学院先后荣获“全国教育系统先进集体”“国家高技能人才培训基地”等称号，与武汉地铁、中国铁路武汉局等40余家企业建立校企合作，毕业生就业率稳居全省同类院校前列。

With featured disciplines in railway transportation and urban rail transit, the college offers core programs such as Urban Rail Transit Vehicle Technology, Railway Locomotive Operation and Maintenance, and Railway Transportation Operation Management. It enrolls over 4,500 full-time students and provides annual training for more than 3,000 in-service employees. The teaching facilities include 10 modern internship and training centers, 80 laboratories and training rooms, and multimedia classrooms, with teaching equipment valued at over 60 million yuan and a library collection of more than 460,000 volumes. The college has been awarded titles such as "National Advanced Collective in Education System" and "National High-skilled Talent Training Base". It has established school-enterprise cooperation with over 40 enterprises including Wuhan Metro and China Railway Wuhan Bureau, maintaining a graduate employment rate among the top of similar institutions in Hubei Province.
