杭州电子科技大学是一所电子信息特色突出，经管学科优势明显，工、理、经、管、文、法、艺等多学科相互渗透的教学研究型大学。学校始创于1956年，初名杭州航空工业财经学校，而后历经杭州航空工业学校、浙江电机专科学校、浙江机械工业学校、杭州无线电工业管理学校、杭州无线电工业学校等时期，1980年经国务院批准改建为杭州电子工业学院，2004年更名为杭州电子科技大学。学校是浙江省人民政府与国防科技工业局共建高校，是教育部批准的卓越工程师教育培养计划高校，也是国家集成电路人才培养基地、国家软件人才国际培训（杭州）基地、国家级人才培养模式创新实验区和国家级大学生创新创业训练计划实施高校。

Hangzhou Dianzi University is a teaching and research-oriented university with prominent electronic information characteristics, obvious advantages in economics and management disciplines, and interdisciplinary penetration of engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, art and other disciplines. Founded in 1956, the university was initially named Hangzhou Aviation Industry Finance and Economics School, and then went through periods such as Hangzhou Aviation Industry School, Zhejiang Electrical Machinery Junior College, Zhejiang Machinery Industry School, Hangzhou Radio Industry Management School, and Hangzhou Radio Industry School. In 1980, it was approved by the State Council to be restructured into Hangzhou Institute of Electronic Industry, and in 2004, it was renamed Hangzhou Dianzi University. The university is a joint university between the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. It is a university approved by the Ministry of Education for the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program, and also a national integrated circuit talent training base, a national software talent international training (Hangzhou) base, a national talent training model innovation experimental zone, and a national university student innovation and entrepreneurship training program implementation university.

学校现有下沙、文一、东岳、下沙东及青山湖五个校区，占地面积2500余亩，现有全日制在校学生28000余人，其中普通本科生22000余人、研究生6000余人。学校拥有一支高水平的师资队伍，现有教职工2500余人，其中专任教师1900余人，具有正高职称300余人，副高职称600余人，具有博士学位教师1500余人。学校设有20个学院（教学部），开设63个本科专业，拥有6个博士后科研流动站，9个一级学科博士点，40个一级学科硕士点，18个专业学位硕士点，具有硕士研究生推免权和开展博士、硕士研究生招生自主权。

The university currently has five campuses: Xiasha, Wenyi, Dongyue, Xiasha East, and Qingshanhu, covering an area of more than 2,500 mu. There are more than 28,000 full-time students, including more than 22,000 ordinary undergraduates and more than 6,000 postgraduates. The university has a high-level faculty, with more than 2,500 faculty members, including more than 1,900 full-time teachers, more than 300 with senior professional titles, more than 600 with associate senior professional titles, and more than 1,500 teachers with doctoral degrees. The university has 20 colleges (teaching departments), offering 63 undergraduate majors, 6 post-doctoral research mobile stations, 9 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 40 first-level discipline master programs, and 18 professional degree master programs. It has the right to recommend postgraduate students and the autonomy to enroll doctoral and master students.
