河北建材职业技术学院是经河北省人民政府批准、教育部备案的省属高等职业技术院校。学院是教育部现代学徒制首批试点院校、教育部首批示范性职教集团培育单位、教育部国防教育特色学校、团中央第二课堂成绩单试点院校、教育部支援西部教育顾问院校。近年来，荣获国家技能人才培育突出贡献单位、全国建材行业先进集体、全国高校毕业生基层就业卓越奖、全国三下乡社会实践优秀单位、河北省大学生创业示范园等荣誉称号。

Hebei Vocational and Technical College of Building Materials is a provincial higher vocational and technical college approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is one of the first pilot colleges for the modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education, one of the first demonstration vocational education group cultivation units of the Ministry of Education, a national defense education characteristic school of the Ministry of Education, a pilot college for the second classroom report card of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and an advisory college for supporting western education of the Ministry of Education. In recent years, it has won honors such as Outstanding Contribution Unit for National Skilled Talents Cultivation, Advanced Collective of National Building Materials Industry, Excellence Award for Grassroots Employment of National College Graduates, Excellent Unit for National Three Visits to the Countryside Social Practice, and Hebei Provincial College Students Entrepreneurship Demonstration Park.

学院始建于1978年，前身是国家建材工业总局创建的秦皇岛玻璃工业技工学校，1985年增建国家建材局管理干部学院秦皇岛分院，1998年划转河北后与河北省建筑材料工业学校合并成立河北建材职工大学，2001年改建为河北建材职业技术学院，同年底划归河北省教育厅管理。办学46年来，为全国各行各业培养输送了8万余名各类人才。学院地处全国首批14个沿海开放城市之一的河北省秦皇岛市，南临渤海、北依燕山、西邻奥体中心、东接秦皇岛港，现有东、西两大校区，设有产教融合天津实训中心和产教融合临港实训中心，校园总面积816.38亩，自然与人文环境俱佳，是理想的办学之地、求学之所。

The college was founded in 1978, formerly known as Qinhuangdao Glass Industry Technical School established by the State Administration of Building Materials Industry. In 1985, Qinhuangdao Branch of the Management Cadre College of the State Building Materials Bureau was added. In 1998, it was transferred to Hebei Province and merged with Hebei Provincial Building Materials Industry School to establish Hebei Building Materials Vocational College. In 2001, it was restructured into Hebei Vocational and Technical College of Building Materials, and was placed under the management of Hebei Provincial Department of Education at the end of the same year. Over the past 46 years of running the school, it has cultivated and transported more than 80,000 talents of various types for all walks of life across the country. The college is located in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, one of the first 14 coastal open cities in China. It is adjacent to the Bohai Sea in the south, Yanshan Mountain in the north, the Olympic Sports Center in the west, and Qinhuangdao Port in the east. It currently has two campuses, East and West, and has a Tianjin Training Center for Industry-Education Integration and a临港 Training Center for Industry-Education Integration. The total campus area is 816.38 mu, with excellent natural and humanistic environment, making it an ideal place for running a school and studying.

学院设有材料工程系、建筑工程系、机电工程系、信息工程系、财经管理系、现代服务管理系、艺术设计系、体育与健康系、航海工程系、基础部、思想政治理论课教学部等11个教学系部。开设建筑材料工程技术、建筑工程技术、机电一体化技术、软件技术、大数据与会计、现代物流管理、建筑装饰工程技术、休闲体育、航海技术等51个专业。

The college has 11 teaching departments, including the Department of Materials Engineering, Department of Architectural Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Finance and Management, Department of Modern Service Management, Department of Art and Design, Department of Physical Education and Health, Department of Navigation Engineering, Basic Department, and Department of Ideological and Political Theory. It offers 51 majors such as Architectural Materials Engineering Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Technology, Software Technology, Big Data and Accounting, Modern Logistics Management, Architectural Decoration Engineering Technology, Leisure Sports, and Navigation Technology.

学院建有一支师德高尚、技艺精湛、专兼结合的双师型教师队伍，拥有国家级职业教育创新团队和国家课程思政教学团队；现有享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家1人、全国巾帼建功标兵1人、全国优秀教师2人、国家级课程思政教学名师8人；建有国家课程思政教学团队1支，省级职业教育教学教师创新团队3支；拥有河北省拔尖人才、河北省政府特殊津贴专家、河北省五一劳动奖章、河北省教学名师、河北省模范教师、河北省师德标兵、河北省教育系统先进工作者等人才27名；建有河北省高技能人才培训基地、省级技能大师工作室和校企共建双师型教师培养培训基地。

The college has built a team of double-qualified teachers with noble morality, exquisite skills, and a combination of full-time and part-time teachers, with national vocational education innovation teams and national curriculum ideological and political teaching teams; currently, there is 1 expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 1 national March 8th Red Banner pacesetter, 2 national excellent teachers, and 8 national curriculum ideological and political teaching masters; 1 national curriculum ideological and political teaching team and 3 provincial vocational education teaching teacher innovation teams have been built; there are 27 talents such as Hebei Provincial Top Talents, Hebei Provincial Government Special Allowance Experts, Hebei Provincial May 1st Labor Medal, Hebei Provincial Teaching Masters, Hebei Provincial Model Teachers, Hebei Provincial Teachers' Morality Pacesetters, and Hebei Provincial Advanced Workers in Education System; Hebei Provincial High-skilled Talents Training Base, Provincial Skill Master Studio, and School-Enterprise Co-built Double-Qualified Teachers Training Base have been built.
