河北机电职业技术学院始建于1956年，是一所隶属于河北省教育厅的国办全日制普通高等院校，坐落于河北省邢台市。学校是河北省示范性高等职业院校、国家机电行业骨干院校、全国机械行业校企合作与人才培养优秀职业院校，2014年与邢台学院、邢台市装备制造行业协会共建“邢台学院机电工程学院”，填补了邢台市应用型本科机电类专业院校的空白。

Hebei Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology, founded in 1956, is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution affiliated to the Hebei Provincial Department of Education, located in Xingtai City, Hebei Province. It is a示范性 higher vocational college in Hebei Province, a key college in the national electromechanical industry, and an excellent vocational college for school-enterprise cooperation and talent training in the national machinery industry. In 2014, it jointly established the "College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Xingtai University" with Xingtai University and Xingtai Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, filling the gap of application-oriented undergraduate electromechanical colleges in Xingtai City.

学校占地面积近800亩，面向全国招生，现有在校生8000余人。开设机械制造与自动化、数控技术、电气自动化技术、汽车检测与维修技术等36个专业，其中中央财政支持的职业教育重点建设专业5个，全国机械行业特色专业3个。拥有国家示范性电工电子与自动化技术实训基地、国家数控技术技能型紧缺人才培养实训基地等4个国家级实训基地，以及36个校内实习实训场所和210个校外产学合作基地。

The college covers an area of nearly 800 mu and enrolls students nationwide, with more than 8,000 current students. It offers 36 majors including Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Numerical Control Technology, Electrical Automation Technology, and Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Technology, among which 5 are key construction majors of vocational education supported by the central finance and 3 are characteristic majors of the national machinery industry. It has 4 national-level training bases such as the National Demonstrative Electrical and Electronic and Automation Technology Training Base, the National Numerical Control Technology Skilled Talent Training Base, as well as 36 on-campus internship and training sites and 210 off-campus industry-university cooperation bases.
