河北能源职业技术学院是经河北省政府批准、教育部备案的公办全日制普通高职院校，由世界500强企业开滦集团举办和管理，坐落于中国近代工业摇篮——河北省唐山市中心区。学院办学历史可追溯至1881年开平矿务有限公司创办的采矿煤质化验学校，是中国职业教育的重要源头之一，2000年正式改建为高职院校，现为省域高水平高职学校建设单位。

Hebei Energy College of Vocation and Technology is a public full-time vocational college approved by the Hebei Provincial Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Sponsored and managed by the world top 500 enterprise Kailuan Group, it is located in the central area of Tangshan City, Hebei Province, known as the cradle of China's modern industry. Tracing its roots back to the Mining and Coal Quality Testing School founded by Kaiping Mining Co., Ltd. in 1881, it is one of the important origins of vocational education in China. Officially restructured into a vocational college in 2000, it is now a provincial high-level vocational school construction unit.

学院以能源、矿业和新能源为特色，形成"校企一体、产教相融；学培并举、集团发展"的办学模式，设有矿产资源与建工系、机电工程系等8个教学单位，全日制在校生超万人。拥有中央财政支持专业2个、省级示范骨干专业4个，建有94个校内实训基地和129个校外实践基地，与开滦集团、中车集团等知名企业深度合作，毕业生就业率连续保持98%以上，培养了大批行业技术骨干和管理人才。

With energy, mining, and new energy as its characteristics, the college has formed a school-running model of "integration of school and enterprise, integration of production and education; simultaneous development of learning and training, group development". It has 8 teaching units including the Department of Mineral Resources and Architecture, and the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, with over 10,000 full-time students. It has 2 majors supported by central finance and 4 provincial-level demonstration backbone majors, built 94 on-campus training bases and 129 off-campus practice bases, and in-depth cooperation with well-known enterprises such as Kailuan Group and CRRC Group. The employment rate of graduates has remained above 98% for consecutive years, cultivating a large number of industry technical backbones and management talents.
