河北民族师范学院坐落在国家历史文化名城承德，肇始于1907年创办的热河速成法政学堂，历经承德师范专科学校、承德民族师范高等专科学校等发展阶段，2010年经教育部批准升格为本科院校并更现名。学校是河北省唯一一所民族类公办全日制普通本科院校，2014年获批学士学位授予权单位，2020年成为河北省硕士学位授予立项建设单位，2024年入选河北省硕士学位授予立项建设重点培育单位。

Hebei Normal University for Nationalities is located in Chengde, a national historical and cultural city. Its predecessor was the Rehe Express Law and Politics School founded in 1907, and it went through stages such as Chengde Teachers College and Chengde National Teachers College. In 2010, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be upgraded to an undergraduate college and adopted its current name. It is the only public full-time ordinary undergraduate college for ethnic groups in Hebei Province. In 2014, it was approved as a bachelor's degree-granting unit. In 2020, it became a project construction unit for master's degree authorization in Hebei Province, and in 2024, it was selected as a key cultivation unit for master's degree authorization project construction in Hebei Province.

学校占地面积69.38万平方米，校舍建筑面积38.63万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值1.39亿元。设有17个二级教学单位，51个本科专业（现有43个本科招生专业），涵盖九大学科门类，全日制本科在校生11804人。现有在职教职工1025人，其中专任教师711人，博士教师173人，高级职称255人，双师双能型教师391人，拥有12个省级优秀教学团队。

The university covers an area of 693,800 square meters with a building area of 386,300 square meters, and the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 139 million yuan. It has 17 secondary teaching units and 51 undergraduate majors (currently 43 undergraduate enrollment majors), covering nine disciplines, with 11,804 full-time undergraduate students. There are 1,025 in-service faculty members, including 711 full-time teachers, 173 doctoral teachers, 255 with senior titles, and 391 double-qualified and double-capable teachers, and 12 provincial excellent teaching teams.

学校坚持师范性、民族性、应用型、开放式办学定位，形成了以国家级一流专业（小学教育）为引领的专业体系，15个师范专业全部通过教育部师范专业二级认证。拥有国家级众创空间、国家民委植物学重点实验室等16个省部级科研平台，近五年承担国家级、省部级科研项目96项，累计为区域培养20余万名高素质人才，先后荣获全国民族团结进步模范单位、河北省文明单位等荣誉称号。

Adhering to the school-running orientation of being normal, ethnic, application-oriented and open, the university has formed a professional system led by national first-class majors (primary education), and all 15 normal majors have passed the second-level certification of normal majors by the Ministry of Education. It has 16 provincial-level scientific research platforms such as the National Mass Innovation Space and the Key Laboratory of Botany of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. In the past five years, it has undertaken 96 national and provincial scientific research projects, cultivated more than 200,000 high-quality talents for the region, and has successively won honors such as National Model Unit for National Unity and Progress and Hebei Provincial Civilized Unit.
