河南医药大学位于河南省新乡市，是河南省唯一独立设置的公办西医本科院校，是河南省特色骨干学科和博士学位授予重点立项建设高校。学校渊源可追溯到1896年医学博士罗维灵在古城卫辉开办的西医诊所，医学教育肇始于1922年惠民医院护士学校，历经平原省医科学校、豫北医学专科学校等发展阶段，1982年升格本科并定名新乡医学院，2025年6月正式更名为河南医药大学。

Henan Medical University, located in Xinxiang City, Henan Province, is the only independently established public western medicine undergraduate institution in Henan. It is a key project construction university for Henan's characteristic backbone disciplines and doctoral degree authorization. The university's origin can be traced back to the western medicine clinic opened by Dr. Luo Weiling in the ancient city of Weihui in 1896. Its medical education began with the Huimin Hospital Nurse School in 1922, undergoing development stages such as Pingyuan Provincial Medical School and Northern Henan Medical College. It was upgraded to an undergraduate institution and named Xinxiang Medical College in 1982, and officially renamed Henan Medical University in June 2025.

学校现有教职工1.4万余人（含5所临床学院），各类在校生2.7万余人，开设39个本科专业，拥有12个一级学科硕士学位授权点和12个专业学位硕士授权点。学校是国家"111计划"实施高校、国家中西部高校基础能力建设工程支持高校，拥有3所国家临床重点专科、2个河南省特色骨干学科，附属医院13所，主办4种国内外公开发行刊物，在医学人才培养、科研创新和医疗服务领域具有鲜明特色和区域影响力。
