黄冈科技职业学院始建于2004年6月，是经湖北省人民政府批准成立、教育部备案的全日制普通高等职业院校，主管单位为湖北省教育厅。学校位于湖北省黄冈市，地处“武鄂黄黄”核心区，现有遗爱湖和何家湖两大校区，总占地728亩。遗爱湖校区毗邻国家AAAA级旅游景区遗爱湖主题公园，为典型的花园式学校；何家湖校区位于团风新区，以“书院形制、人文景观、现代先进、自然生态”理念打造现代化活力校园。

Huanggang Vocational College of Science and Technology was founded in June 2004. It is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education, under the supervision of the Hubei Provincial Department of Education. Located in Huanggang City, Hubei Province, within the core area of "Wuhan-Ezhou-Huanggang-Huangmei", the school has two campuses: Yiai Lake and Hejia Lake, covering a total area of 728 mu. The Yiai Lake Campus, adjacent to the national AAAA-level tourist attraction Yiai Lake Theme Park, is a typical garden-style school; the Hejia Lake Campus, situated in Tuanfeng New District, is a modern vibrant campus built under the concept of "academy structure, cultural landscape, modern advancement, and natural ecology".

学校以“崇德、尚爱、强能、致远”为校训，构建了涵盖机电与汽车工程、建筑工程、计算机、经贸等领域的33个专业体系，在校生规模达15000余人。教学设施完善，拥有50多个实训场所及40余个校外实习基地，教学科研仪器设备价值超3000万元，形成“校企合一”的办学特色。近年来就业率保持在95%以上，为社会培养了大批高素质技术技能人才。

With the school motto of "Upholding Virtue, Cherishing Love, Strengthening Abilities, and Striving for Distant Goals", the school has established a system of 33 majors covering fields such as Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Computer Science, and Economics & Trade, with a student population of over 15,000. It boasts complete teaching facilities, including more than 50 training sites and over 40 off-campus internship bases, with teaching and research equipment valued at over 30 million yuan, forming a distinctive school-running feature of "integration of school and enterprise". In recent years, the employment rate has remained above 95%, cultivating a large number of high-quality technical and skilled talents for society.
