怀化师范高等专科学校是怀化市人民政府主管、省教育厅管理教育业务的普通高等学校。学校于2018年12月28日经湖南省人民政府批复设立，2019年5月22日通过国家教育部备案，建设基础为始创于1936年的湖南省芷江民族师范学校。现有在编教职工333人，其中教授7人、副高职称86人，博士、硕士研究生学历教师142人；现有在校学生8455人，其中高招学生5618人。

Huaihua Normal College is a public higher education institution administered by the Huaihua Municipal People's Government and under the educational supervision of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education. Established with the approval of the Hunan Provincial People's Government on December 28, 2018, and registered with the Ministry of Education on May 22, 2019, the college traces its roots to Hunan Zhijiang Ethnic Normal School founded in 1936. It currently has 333 faculty members, including 7 professors, 86 associate senior professionals, and 142 teachers with doctoral or master's degrees, along with 8,455 students, among whom 5,618 are enrolled through national college entrance examinations.

学校校园环境优美，校区规划占地面积605亩，现占地面积433亩，建筑面积15.8万平方米，开设有学前教育、小学教育、小学语文教育等12个国控师范教育专业及3个非国控专业，并承担怀化市小学、幼儿园教师继续教育。近年来先后获评湖南省文明高等学校、湖南省少数民族文化传承示范基地等荣誉，是怀化市基础教育师资培养的主要基地。

The college boasts a beautiful campus with a planned area of 605 mu (currently 433 mu developed) and a building area of 158,000 square meters. It offers 12 state-controlled teacher education programs (e.g., Preschool Education, Primary Education, Chinese Language Education) and 3 non-state-controlled programs, while also undertaking continuing education for primary and kindergarten teachers in Huaihua City. Recent honors include "Hunan Civilized College" and "Hunan Ethnic Culture Inheritance Demonstration Base," solidifying its position as the primary training base for basic education teachers in Huaihua.
