黑龙江工业学院是教育部批准成立的省属综合性普通本科高校。前身是1984年建校的鸡西大学，历经多次合并与发展，2013年升格为本科院校并更名，2021年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，开启一流应用技术大学建设新征程。

Heilongjiang University of Technology is a provincial comprehensive ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Jixi University founded in 1984. After several mergers and developments, it was upgraded to an undergraduate institution and renamed in 2013. In 2021, it passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching by the Ministry of Education, starting a new journey of building a first-class applied technology university.

学校坐落于中俄边境城市鸡西，占地面积58万平方米，建筑面积25万平方米，环境幽雅，是全国文化校园建设先进单位、省级花园式学校。现有10个学院，开设28个本科专业，面向全国19个省（市、自治区）招生，全日制在校生10285人，教职工670人，其中具有博士、硕士学位人员439人。

The university is located in Jixi, a Sino-Russian border city, covering an area of 580,000 square meters with a building area of 250,000 square meters. It has an elegant environment and is an advanced unit of national cultural campus construction and a provincial garden-style school. There are 10 colleges offering 28 undergraduate majors, enrolling students from 19 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country, with 10,285 full-time students and 670 faculty members, including 439 with doctoral or master's degrees.

学校教学设施齐备，实验实训条件优越，拥有校内实验实训基地119个、校外实践教学基地87个，教学科研仪器设备总值1.2亿元，图书馆藏书100万册。秉承“修德修能、成人成事”校训，构建产教融合协同育人体系，为区域经济社会发展培养应用型、技术技能型人才，荣获全国就业工作先进集体等称号。

The university has complete teaching facilities and superior experimental training conditions, with 119 on-campus experimental training bases and 87 off-campus practical teaching bases. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 120 million yuan, and the library has 1 million books. Adhering to the school motto of "Cultivating Morality and Ability, Achieving Success", it has built an industry-education integration and collaborative education system, cultivating applied and technical talents for regional economic and social development, and has been awarded the title of National Advanced Collective for Employment Work.
