黑龙江中医药大学始建于1954年，经七十余年建设与发展，已成为具有较高教学、科研、医疗水平，在国内外有一定影响的高等中医药院校。学校2004年全国首批获得教育部本科教学工作水平评估优秀结论，2007年全国首家通过教育部本科中医学专业认证，连续三次荣获全国文明单位，2018年、2022年两次获批黑龙江省高水平大学和优势特色学科建设高校，2021年成为黑龙江省政府与国家中医药管理局共建高校，2023年获批经方与现代中药融合创新全国重点实验室共建单位。

Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine was founded in 1954. After more than 70 years of development, it has become a higher education institution of Chinese medicine with high levels of teaching, scientific research, and medical care, exerting a certain influence both domestically and internationally. In 2004, it was among the first batch of universities in China to receive an "Excellent" rating in the undergraduate teaching evaluation by the Ministry of Education. In 2007, it was the first university in China to pass the undergraduate Chinese medicine program certification by the Ministry of Education. It has been awarded the title of "National Civilized Unit" three consecutive times. In 2018 and 2022, it was approved as a high-level university with advantageous and characteristic disciplines in Heilongjiang Province. In 2021, it became a university jointly built by the Heilongjiang Provincial Government and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2023, it was approved as a co-construction unit of the National Key Laboratory for the Integration and Innovation of Classical Prescriptions and Modern Chinese Medicine.

学校下设16个学院、12个附属医院（4个直属）、1个中医药研究院、1个中医药高等教育研究院、31个教学医院和78个实习基地。设有27个本科专业，涵盖医、理、工、管等4个学科门类。拥有4个一级学科博士学位授权点，1个博士专业学位授权类别；6个一级学科硕士学位授权点，7个硕士专业学位授权类别。现有全日制在校生21728人，其中博士研究生828人、硕士研究生4131人、本科生16641人、留学生128人。

The university has 16 schools, 12 affiliated hospitals (4 directly affiliated), 1 Institute of Chinese Medicine, 1 Institute of Higher Education for Chinese Medicine, 31 teaching hospitals, and 78 practice bases. It offers 27 undergraduate programs covering 4 disciplines: medicine, science, engineering, and management. It has 4 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 1 professional doctoral degree authorization category, 6 first-level discipline master's programs, and 7 professional master's degree authorization categories. Currently, there are 21,728 full-time students, including 828 doctoral students, 4,131 master's students, 16,641 undergraduate students, and 128 international students.

学校拥有中医学、中药学、中西医结合、药学4个博士后科研流动站，是国家第一类特色专业（中药学、药物制剂和针灸推拿学）和首批第二类特色专业（中医学）建设点。现有国家重点学科4个、国家中医药管理局重点学科21个、国家级一流本科专业建设点10个、省级一流本科专业建设点14个，获国家教学成果一等奖3项、二等奖8项，在中药血清药物化学、方剂配伍规律等研究领域处于国际先进或国内领先水平。

The university has 4 post-doctoral research stations in Chinese medicine, Chinese materia medica, integrated Chinese and Western medicine, and pharmacy. It is a national first-class characteristic major construction site (Chinese materia medica, pharmaceutical preparations, and acupuncture and tuina) and the first batch of second-class characteristic major construction sites (Chinese medicine). It has 4 national key disciplines, 21 key disciplines of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 10 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and 14 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites. It has won 3 first prizes and 8 second prizes in the National Teaching Achievement Awards. It is at the international advanced or domestic leading level in research fields such as serum pharmacochemistry of traditional Chinese medicine and compatibility rules of prescriptions.
