湖南安全技术职业学院由湖南省人民政府和应急管理部(国家矿山安全监察局)共建共管,是全国第一所以安全命名的全日制公办高等职业院校,实行一套班子、两块牌子、两种体制、一体化运行的办学方式。其前身为1984年联合国国际劳工组织与我国政府共同创建的长沙煤矿安全技术培训中心,2005年在该中心基础上成立学院,2025年长沙煤矿安全技术培训中心更名为国家矿山安全监察局湖南局安全培训中心。
Hunan Vocational College of Safety Technology is co-constructed and managed by the People's Government of Hunan Province and the Ministry of Emergency Management (National Mine Safety Administration). It is the first full-time public higher vocational college named after "safety" in China, operating under a unified leadership with two nameplates, two systems, and integrated management. Its predecessor was the Changsha Coal Mine Safety Technology Training Center, jointly established by the United Nations International Labour Organization and the Chinese government in 1984. The college was founded on the basis of this center in 2005, and in 2025, the Changsha Coal Mine Safety Technology Training Center was renamed as the Safety Training Center of Hunan Bureau of the National Mine Safety Administration.
学校位于湖南省长沙市,是全国安全生产技术人才培养基地、全国烟花爆竹人才培养基地、全国煤矿安全培训示范基地等多个国家级基地,同时为国家一级安全生产培训机构和国家一级煤矿安全培训机构。校园面积385亩,总资产5.45亿元,下设8个二级学院,开设有安全技术与管理、应急救援技术等28个专业(方向),现有全日制在校学生1万余人,教职工427人,年培训规模达2万人次以上。
Located in Changsha, Hunan Province, the college serves as multiple national-level bases such as the National Safety Production Technical Talents Training Base, National Fireworks Talents Training Base, and National Coal Mine Safety Training Demonstration Base. It is also a national first-class safety production training institution and a national first-class coal mine safety training institution. Covering an area of 385 mu with a total asset of 545 million yuan, the college has 8 secondary colleges offering 28 majors (directions) including Safety Technology and Management, Emergency Rescue Technology, etc. It currently has over 10,000 full-time students and 427 faculty members, with an annual training scale of over 20,000 person-times.
