湖南工商职业学院是经湖南省人民政府批准、教育部备案的全日制普通高等职业院校，有着30余年办学历史和文化积淀，是衡阳市职业教育先进单位、征兵工作先进单位、武装工作先进单位、湖南省高等教育自学考试先进单位、优秀自考助学单位，衡阳市先进基层党组织，守信誉单位。学院位于风景秀丽的南岳山下、湘江蒸水河畔，与石鼓书院隔江遥望，区域优势明显，校园环境优美。

Hunan Vocational College of Business and Technology is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. With a history of more than 30 years of running a school and cultural accumulation, it is an advanced unit of vocational education in Hengyang City, an advanced unit of conscription work, an advanced unit of armed work, an advanced unit of higher education self-study examination in Hunan Province, an excellent self-study examination assistance unit, an advanced grass-roots party organization in Hengyang City, and a trustworthy unit. The college is located at the foot of the beautiful Nanyue Mountain and by the Xiangjiang and Zhengshui Rivers, across the river from the Shigu Academy, with obvious regional advantages and a beautiful campus environment.

学院沿革于1989年创办的湖南亚太科技学院，2010年升格为现名，行政隶属省教育厅主管。现有教职工415人，其中专任教师306人，教授、副教授及相应职称74人，双师型教师138人；开设工商企业管理、护理、学前教育、计算机应用技术等34个专业，形成5院3部的教学构架；面向全国26个省市（区）招生，全日制学生近8000人，毕业生就业率保持在95%以上。

The college evolved from Hunan Asia Pacific Institute of Technology founded in 1989 and was upgraded to its current name in 2010, under the administrative jurisdiction of the Provincial Department of Education. There are 415 faculty members, including 306 full-time teachers, 74 professors, associate professors and corresponding professional titles, and 138 double-qualified teachers; 34 majors such as business enterprise management, nursing, preschool education, and computer application technology are offered, forming a teaching structure of 5 colleges and 3 departments; enrolling students from 26 provinces (regions) across the country, with nearly 8,000 full-time students, and the employment rate of graduates remains above 95%.

学院坚持以服务行业、地方产业发展为导向，构建了260余个实习实训基地，与80余家企业签订合作办学协议，开设10余个订单培养班级，形成了“社会需求就是办学方向，企业满意就是质量标准”的办学特色，综合办学实力与核心竞争力进入全省同类院校第一方阵。

Adhering to the orientation of serving industry and local industrial development, the college has built more than 260 internship and training bases, signed cooperative school-running agreements with more than 80 enterprises, and set up more than 10 order-based training classes, forming the school-running characteristic of "social demand is the direction of running a school, and enterprise satisfaction is the quality standard". Its comprehensive school-running strength and core competitiveness have entered the first echelon of similar colleges in the province.
