湖南交通职业技术学院创建于1956年,前身为湖南省交通学校,2001年经湖南省人民政府批准升格为高等职业技术学院。学校位于湖南省会长沙,是国家示范性高等职业院校、国家优质专科高等职业院校、国家"双高计划"建设单位,隶属于湖南省教育厅和湖南省交通运输厅共建。
Hunan Communication Polytechnic was founded in 1956, formerly known as Hunan Traffic School. Approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province in 2001, it was upgraded to a higher vocational and technical college. Located in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, the college is a national model higher vocational college, a national high-quality junior college, and a construction unit of the national "Double High Plan", jointly established by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education and the Hunan Provincial Department of Transportation.
学校占地728亩,建筑面积29.49万平方米,教学仪器设备总值1.37亿元,馆藏图书97万余册。现有全日制在校生1.3万余人,专任教师531人,其中高级职称290人,"双师型"教师占专业课教师比例达85.7%。开设34个专业,构建了交通土建技术、汽车技术服务等六大特色专业群,拥有4个中央财政重点支持建设专业、3个交通运输部示范特色专业群。
The college covers an area of 728 mu (485,333 square meters) with a building area of 294,900 square meters. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 137 million yuan, and the library has more than 970,000 books. There are over 13,000 full-time students and 531 full-time teachers, including 290 with senior professional titles. The proportion of "double-qualified" teachers among professional course teachers reaches 85.7%. The college offers 34 majors, forming six characteristic professional groups such as transportation civil engineering technology and automotive technical services, with 4 majors supported by central finance and 3 demonstration characteristic professional groups of the Ministry of Transport.
