湖南理工职业技术学院是经省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案设立的全日制公办普通高等院校。学院始建于1978年，坐落在伟人故里大美湘潭的中心城区，校园精巧别致，绿树成荫，书香四溢。

Hunan Institute of Technology is a full-time public higher education institution approved by the provincial people's government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1978, the college is located in the central urban area of Xiangtan, the hometown of great men, with an exquisite campus, shaded by green trees and full of scholarly atmosphere.

学校设有新能源学院、智能制造学院、管理艺术学院、马克思主义学院等4个二级教学院部，开设电力储能应用技术、光伏工程技术、风力发电工程技术等15个专业，面向全国招生，在校学生7400余人，是一所融理、工、文于一体的综合性高职院校。

The university has 4 secondary teaching departments including the School of New Energy, School of Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Management and Art, and School of Marxism, offering 15 majors such as Power Energy Storage Application Technology, Photovoltaic Engineering Technology, and Wind Power Generation Engineering Technology, enrolling students nationwide with more than 7,400 students on campus. It is a comprehensive higher vocational college integrating science, engineering, and liberal arts.
